Sandblasted.

My sister send me this picture of her dog Dayka on the beach at Schoorl in the Netherlands.
Windy, sunny, dry, so there was lots of sand being blown around.

It reminded me of this Counting Crows' song "A Long December" with the line: "It's been so long since I've seen the ocean...
I guess I should"

For the last 3 years I've been living in Germany, close to the Rhein (2 minutes walk from my appartment) but it's just not the same as a proper sea, or ocean.
It's fresh water so there is none of that salty air smell and there are not that many seagulls.
There are geese on the Rhein and an occasional swan, so it's not that bad.

I'm going to NL in the first week of April for my sister's birthday, so I probaly will "go see the sea".
