Looked like she was lifting it up for hip thrusts. You can also turn around and do hamstring curls on some leg extension machines. Always check machines for bolts, nuts, handles, cables, balance, etc especially if you're going to use it for heavy af or irregular usage.
It's not designed for hip thrusts. As I said its a leg machine, hence the seat being where it is and the pivot point being at the knee. If you're going to go into a gym and use machines incorrectly the gym aren't going to continue letting you in.

I’d love to agree with you, but sadly, the other guy may well be right. Fuckwits can and do successfully win judgements/settlements regularly.
