Women of the US need to get themselves a dick stabbing knife and keep that fuckin thing sharp and on them at all times.

I stand by this. If democrats ever want to bounce back from this disaster they need to stop being a bunch of pussies.

Use misogyny to your advantage. Who ever says this has glass egg masculinity. Hit em where it hurts.

So a woman can bash a guy's head in with a hammer, right? If he's not wearing a helmet obviously he's asking for it...

Now if only "stand your ground" laws have ever protected anyone but white men... Let alone ever would in Republican World...

All for it if that’s what it takes. Keep your fucking laws off my body.

Has anyone researched abortifacient herbs and their effectiveness?

Go ahead: MAKE HER DAY!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The right to bear arms intersects with personal rights—such as women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and minority rights—as self-defense can be a form of empowerment. Being armed may make it harder for others to control or oppress you. Although there are ethical considerations around firearm use, ultimately, how you choose to act on these rights and values is a personal decision.

The phrase going around here in my part of NC is "Either put out or get out of the country". With that said, I follow another recommendation given here: A Glock 43x (9mm) is small enough to fit in a pocketbook, doesn't have a serious recoil, and is pretty easy to break down and maintain, too. And yes, I am taking my neighbor and one of her daughters to get them this afternoon. But they both have been planning to get guns for a few years now, this just made it a higher priority for them.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm waiting till they realise it's *everyone's* daughters, wives, sisters that are going to be targets for the worst of them. Even if the MAGA fans consider their women 'property' they won't like others 'trespassing', will they?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

“Your body, my choice” is the perspective of someone trying to rape and/or enslave

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

no it is not. It is at max threatening of assault. While absolutely not ok, y'all shouldn't use these terms so inflationarily.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Threatening to harm someone is already assault. "Threatening about threatening to harm" was before the election.

Someone else already posted the definition but here's some highlighter if that helps:

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's also very much sexual harassment so y'know, if you're at school etc there's likely policies about such things

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

While we still have such luxuries as "schools" and "policies"

They're literally bragging about all the things they defended Trump against, like project 2025, is 100% real and they're totally going to do all of it. The funny thing is, they're making fun of their own voters. Because the rest of us knew project 2025 was real and they denied it. Now they're saying it's totes real lol suck on it bitches. Who are they talking to? It's their voters that believed that lie. They're literally mocking themselves.

You would typically aim for the mass, but shooting the attacker in the dick sends a much stronger message.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

You're not RoboCop, aim for center mass and actually hit the target

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

You're citing a scene from a 37 year old movie which strongly suggests that not only did you get the message, but it stuck with you.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's been memed, it's on a t-shirt. I've never seen the movie. My focus is on firearm safety.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's not unreasonable to suggest Lorena Bobbitt, who did not use a firearm, had more of an impact than a scene from Robocop did. Ever hear of Francine Hughes? Francine's message was so powerful that a movie was made about it and America was forced into discussing domestic violence.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lorena Bobbit attacked a man in his sleep, and no I've never heard of Francine Hughes. I'm talking about self defense, you're talking about dicks.

Get a taser or pocket knife for protection. Guns is a solution too but I don't want to support the gun industry whatsoever.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You're going to want protection from range. Pocket knives and tasers do not provide that. At the very least please get some mace-can keychains and TRY ONE before you need one.

I'm not sure who you're responding to, but I think it's not me. I never said anything about eliminating Republicans' right to carry, anything about health decisions or anything about not protecting yourself from Republicans.....

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah that reply wasn't for you and I have no idea why it went to you. I'm sorry!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you feel you can, research, buy, and learn to use a firearm. Get training and a permit to concealed carry. Its not an easy solution, but its better to have to shoot some asshole and get trauma therapy then to have some asshole traumatize you. Gun rights are womens rights, trans rights, minorities rights. You're a whole lot harder to oppress if you're armed. Ethically dubious perhaps, but it's entirely up to you how you apply your ethics to their usage.

1 year ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 2

Just a quick counterpoint that statistically you are much more likely to be injured or killed by a firearm if you own one. Make of that what you will.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is also true of pools. Dangerous things do actually require people to be more safe around them... Which people are not good at. Mind you, im not arguing that firearms make you "safer". They are the best way for a person to prevent themselves from being victimized, though they do require a lot of time, effort, and mental energy to own/operate safely. Which again people aren't generally good at.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Tasers are non-lethal and teach a lesson just as well.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I have firearms and training (came from a conservative family) but I always worry of someone physically overpowering me and using my firearm against me. I carry bear spray on hikes and take self defense classes. All women should know how to defend themselves.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you have limited firearm and knife combat training, it is safest to carry bear spray and use that on an attacker, because your attacker could disarm you and use your gun or knife against you.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do feel more comfortable carrying bear spray than a firearm.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you can, fire at the legs until your attacker is too wounded to chase you, and get away. You can be imprisoned for overkill if you successfully kill your attacker but your lawyer is unable to prove you not only believed you would be raped, but that you would be killed.

I think EVERYONE should really consider looking into what the 2A was originally for, and look at our current situation. Things could get ugly, and it's better to be prepared and not need it, rather than unprepared without the proper protection. Everyone has a right to protect themselves if need be, women or otherwise.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

IMHO More marginalised groups should take inspiration from the Black Panthers and form their own public milita groups.

Also, take inspiration from the Pink Pistols and set up shooting groups that offer training courses and advice. That are a everything organisation for beginners to learn firearms self-defense, what to choose, where to buy (some gunshops are safe spaces for Nazis - knowing which are which could be a life saver), the laws ect.

Also, close combat gun retention is a vital skill

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

> what the 2A was originally for

Militia, not even personal protection. But since it's already being abused for entertainment and worse, might as well make good use of it.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The militias of the time were made up of common citizens with minimal training.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

And only people in Militias need to be able to defend themselves from rape?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm only talking about the "originally for" part. The rationale didn't include individual self-defense of any kind, but probably everyone back then would've agreed with it.

Yes. They’re very seriously saying, “haha, now I am going to forcefully take what you wouldn’t willingly give me.” I’ve talked with too many adult versions of these men.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I do not think of them as men, not real ones anyway. If you are a male and you turn 18, you don’t magically become a man, just an adult. Real men are strong, and use that strength to help those that are less strong. They respect women, not those who disrespect women. And the 18 years old thing is just a legal status. I’ve seen examples of little boys being men, and seen far too many old males who act and think like little spoiled children.

This is as it stands right now. They will redefine the laws so that they don't apply to all citizens anymore. They will come for people and do it using new laws that makes it so they cannot be resisted. Standing your ground, ironically enough, will not even be a legal option for you under the Republicans new regime.

Didn't they do Tort Reform some years back?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but that was mostly to protect megacorporations from the consequences of their inactions and focused heavily on negligence, intentional situations like tortious assault weren't much affected. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault_(tort)

Thats why people get charged with "assault and battery". Because assault is the threat of violence, battery is the act of violence

"to another person" -The problem is, these stupid guys yelling "your body my choice" see women as property, not as persons... It's layers above layers of ignorance and stupidity with such people, I don't know where to start

I have the right to defend my property, with lethal force if necessary. Yeah, I can do mental gymnastics, too. I've been raised by crazy and will counter as needed.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not defending this at all. I'm not making any excuses. But people need to understand what's about to happen. If women start fighting back, the new administration will simply make it illegal to do so. Or AT BEST, they will remove any responsibility for the government to help you. I AM NOT SAYING THEY SHOULD NOT FIGHT BACK. But you need to be ready for the government to actively oppress you; and not the faux conservative "oppresshun!!" either. The real thing.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

And so, ... What should we do? This comment was not helpful if all your going to do is point out a problem without any attempt to solve it.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

..? Information is not useless. People cannot go forward expecting that the courts will be there to help them. I don't know what the solution is, short of suggesting things that would get me banned and spark a phone call from secret service. I understand your frustration, but it's misplaced. "Be careful, there's no cell service up ahead" is a warning. That's the best I can do right now.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

"they will remove any responsibility for the government to help you" - "the police have no obligation to protect you" has been legally the case for quite some time.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes, but I'm talking about the "justice" system. If there is a law that allows you to defend yourself, they can simply dissolve that law. No court circuit will be inclined to side with the people - that won't be their directive. Cynically we can say "har har it's already that way", but it's going to get much, much worse.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is your post about rapists? Or about women being denied healthcare and bodily autonomy? Are you saying being denied that is assault since it would then harms them physically?

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 16

Idiots on a downvote wagon. Mob mentality. This guy is just asking for clarification. Sambaah05, as I understand, after trump won, incels are posting shit like "your body, my choice," just to gloat in that women are going to lose rights. And then OP comments the link/pic that saying "your body, my choice" is like a threat and legally assault.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Semantically, @sambaah05 had the character count to be more precise with their questions or to make it clear that they do not understand the purpose of the above comment, but the negative inferences ARE assumptions - I agree

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I dunno man, to someone who does not spend 24/7 online, it's really hard to connect the dots between the title, picture, and OP's comment. I think sambaah with their comment made it pretty clear that they don't understand the post and were asking for clarification. One need not be perfectly eloquent with one's question, if the post itself is a trainwreck puzzle to someone who is not an insider

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why do people assume this is a troll reply? Or 1 guy decided it was a troll reply, downvoted, and then everybody jumped on the wagon? God that shit pisses me off, thats trump voter mentality

Back in the 70's in my home city, there was a secret lesbian vigilante group who all learnt pragmatic fighting skills (before MMA existed & BJJ was Brazil only. + B4 mobile phones) and set up Rapist/Lesbian Basher traps.
They would have a petite feminine target (who still knew how to fight) walk down empty alleyways by 'herself' as bait.

And a bunch of tough bull dykes with steel toed boots in hiding nearby.

Eventually, word got out, which is how I know about it.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any bets on how long until they ban women from possessing guns?

1 year ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

::Takes a look at what happened in California with Reagan as governor:: it'll take exactly one white guy getting shot.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately only white men can get away with shooting someone who made them afraid. History shows that even if a woman had a restraining order against a guy, she can still get convicted of murder if she shoots him. Just look at how fucked rape convictions are, do you fancy trying to prove in court that a man who never got close enough to touch you meant to rape you? And remember, juries decide not judges.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Not if the accused opts for a bench trial.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sadly, the only thing that's likely to change if women shoot would-be rapists anyway is the law about whether women can carry guns.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

This is why women should also learn how to respond after the incident.

While "shut the fuck up" is good blanket advice, prehaps knowing how to present the incident to the police so they have the correct first impressions - which counts for a lot.

If the first cops on the scene think, "she looks freaked out and thought she was going to be raped and killed," that will be better than "She's pissed off and demanding, what a ball breaker. I wonder if she's going to lecture me on feminism"

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But that would be awful! Can you imagine what it would be like for men to feel like they were always in danger from the opposite sex because they wouldn't know who would want to hurt them?

$20 they start crying saying they're the real victims, and start a whole trend because rapist bitches be bitches like that

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

They will never understand it. They got mad about the bear because they refuse to understand a woman's perspective of the world.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Bad idea just came to me.
RW MAGA extremist women (basically MTG types) try to abuse the system and damage women in general by staging shootings, prehaps targeting POC activist.

When Alabama Senate Candidate Roy Moore was publicly getting grilled over being a sexual predator who creeped on teen girls, Project Veritas had a woman approach The Washington Post with a fake abuse story that would later on be revealed as fake in order to damage all the real victims of Roy Moore.

This. There's no "playing fair" when your safety is jeapordized. Claw at their eyes. Kick them in the crotch. Shove a key through their temple. Rake their chest with a pen. Some of these won't shut them down but it hurts a lot and takes their focus off you, giving you a window to escape. Self defense isn't about "winning," it's about avoiding, preventing, or minimizing harm to yourself and yours.

Personally, I’d rather blind the guy for life. Plus, the pins have blunt ends and you might not even break skin, or pierce the jugular (veins are fricken tough) and may miss it completely. You can’t miss the bear! I know that’s a bad phrase to use here since women now prefer the bear lol

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They won't, overall. Most women still voted for the convicted rapist, and most are already engaged in relationships with men who think the rapist is a god. This election has taught us over and over that, in America, very few actually care that much. They have bread and circus, and all movements for good will fade while evil seduces the masses.

If you compare the numbers Trump got more votes 24 than 20, but the real problem was that the Dems got so much fewer. The dems have a messaging problem and don't manage to choose people with universal appeal to the public — maybe because the choice is made for them by the party leadership?

Well I'd have voted for the Dems if I was a US citizen and I wholeheartedly agree with your points. But traditional centralist parties need to stop treating right wing demagoges as "so ridiculous" that people are gonna choose the worse evil (them) and start seeing the rise of the right as a sign that they should fundamentally rethink both their policies and their messaging. And in the case of the US they should have started doing that in 2016, nearly a decade ago.
