If you feel you can, research, buy, and learn to use a firearm. Get training and a permit to concealed carry. Its not an easy solution, but its better to have to shoot some asshole and get trauma therapy then to have some asshole traumatize you. Gun rights are womens rights, trans rights, minorities rights. You're a whole lot harder to oppress if you're armed. Ethically dubious perhaps, but it's entirely up to you how you apply your ethics to their usage.

I have firearms and training (came from a conservative family) but I always worry of someone physically overpowering me and using my firearm against me. I carry bear spray on hikes and take self defense classes. All women should know how to defend themselves.

Also, take inspiration from the Pink Pistols and set up shooting groups that offer training courses and advice. Well I'd have voted for the Dems if I was a US citizen and I wholeheartedly agree with your points. But traditional centralist parties need to stop treating right wing demagoges as "so ridiculous" that people are gonna choose the worse evil (them) and start seeing the rise of the right as a sign that they should fundamentally rethink both their policies and their messaging.
