Finally, a republican politician who shows some backbone and integrity!

This is exactly what I have been talking about! The undermining of our democracy is appalling and disgusting! Remember every seditious person who supported attempts to overthrow of the American government! They must be held accountable!

For a party that touts courage and patriotism as much as the GOP does it's sad they only live up to those values on their way out the door.

Too little, too late. He was fine with everything until JUST NOW. Fuck this guy, ALMOST as much as the ones still on board.

This. He was riding Trump hard these past few years. Only gets balls because he's retiring.

To bad he is retiring at the end of this session of congress. Wish more would stand up.

I suspect that is why he was willing to say anything at all. Honorable Republican politicians don’t get reelected.

That's the ONLY reason he's speaking up. It's a proud Republican tradition of covering your tracks that goes all the way back to Eisenhower

"We need to stand up for our democracy, not raw political power" "I supported 95, 96% of this administration's policies." Well which is it?

Lol. I had the same thought, but at least he doesn’t want to overthrow the US government - that is major for a Republican.

But, a bit late. He could've spoken sooner.
