This just in: ICE arrested a fishing rod, two suspicious looking aprons, and a labradoodle with a bowtie. Fucking amateurs.

So is at fault here? Police departments do federal background checks when hiring. That should have shown that he has no right to work in the US if DHS is correct about him only having a tourist visa and overstayed it.

Don't forget he fires a black cadet for flipping over a police vehicle, but not a white cadet who was so stupid that he didn't get out of the way of said vehicle to avoid getting his feet ran over and calls another black cadet a racial slur.

is he?

This is what happen when you set loose a mad dog, it turns on those who are willing to help it.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yes, we had Jewish police officers in Germany in 1933. Well, in 1936 there were fewer

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Don't police officers have to fill out a Form I-9?

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I guess he did but it was years ago.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The CNN article says he was hired in August 2025 which means the Federal background check by FBI and state police background check was this year, i.e. under the Trump administration.

Probably not…

"A law enforcement officer who is actively breaking the law." No irony in that statement, lol.

Chicago cops are a group ICE does NOT wanna go to war with. Them motherfuckers crazy.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No one here knows who this man is. Whether or not he was there protesting, caught in the middle of situation, or ice just really is that incompetent.
The big point im taking from this is simple.

NO ONE IS SAFE

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I understood that his name appeared on their round up list because of his expired visa. I do assume that whoever appears on the list, it shows their home address and work address though.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fair enough. I'd imagine someone in a work visa or the like wouldnt be eligible to work in a field thats supposed to uphold local laws

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't cops carry a weapon at all times? I'd have stuck a nine in somebody's crotch and told them to turn around. Assault and Battery on a Cop will get you shot...

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

This is actually extremely important. ICE piercing the veil of the blue wall of silence will turn police against them completely. ACAB, but i'd rather have everyone i can on our side against the brown shirts, and having the police and military on our side makes the steps that come after the brown shirts impossible.

I can't wait for ICE and cops to start fighting each other.

I was just about to say, did ICE sign some super-secret Pete mandate suicide pact? ICE Goin after police? There are easier ways to paint a target on your back. -_- LOL!

2006ish GOP governors OH PA began the GOP plan to eliminate police/fire pensions/pay/medical, plan failed. 2008ish GOP Gov WI executed same plan, it failed because of protests. 2025 GOP UT gov executes same plan, it passes. any Police/Fire/Military/Gov. Agents who vote GOP r absolutely STUPID because given enough power GOP will do it to all of u! https://www.firerescue1.com/labor-and-union-issues/utah-legislature-bans-collective-bargaining-for-firefighters-teachers-and-public-sector-jobs

Can we like... ICE-swat cops until they get mad at ICE?

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

In Chicago ICE has been calling 911 with false reports at their facility and really pissing off the local PD. https://newrepublic.com/post/201394/ice-chicago-police-fake-911-calls

By a lot of reports, the Chicago police have been siding with the protestors against ICE.
And have even ignored some ICE requests for backup.

The flip side of being arrested for "driving while Black"

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The terminology of illegal aliens is so so gross and dangerous. It dehumanises people, in this case saying they are literally not human (alien)

5 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 8

You've got the etymology out of order. 'Alien' was initially a synonym for 'foreigner,' with 'Space Aliens' being a staple of the emergent scifi genre.

You're right that the 'illegal' part is misleading, since undocumented entry is a civil offense, and regardless of the terminology, this modern-day brownshirt nonsense is a disgrace to our collective humanity.

5 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I know it's an old word for foreigner and later meant space aliens. But there's a context and most people will see it in that

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Undocumented entry is a criminal offense (though only a misdemeanor for a first offense), staying in the US after your visa has expired is a civil offense, so it's a mix of both, though a significant majority have expired visas rather than entering illegally.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

In this specific case, the cop allegedly stayed past their visa, so a civil offense, yet the DHS called him a "criminal" in their statement. They don't care about the technicalities of the law.

5 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Guaranteed they heard he was from Montenegro and assumed that was some Caribbean/South American country.

While Montenegro is on the more obscure side when it comes to countries, I do wish the US education system put a little more emphasis on being able to find basic places on a map. Do I expect them to know where Lichtenstein is? No. Do I expect people to be able to tell me where Korea or Vietnam or Egypt or Germany is? Absolutely

5 months ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

whats wrong with lichtenstein? It's simply across the river, easy to remember

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

When there are almost 200 countries, and you're talking about people who only know a handful of them, Lichtenstein isn't really a priority. I know where it is because I've been there, but it's not one I would typically expect non-Europeans to know.

The problem is there isn't really a "US education system." Each state has the power to dictate what is part of their curriculum, so the states that want their populaces ignorant and uneducated don't bother making rigorous standards. Plus, there are a lot of people who just choose not to pay attention in school and then complain about "the education system" later.

5 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Fair. Absolutely fair. And I also likely have super high expectations when it comes to that as I'm a map and history nerd

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

But, but... he looks so white.

5 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

He's also a US citizen. They do not care.

5 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I don’t believe he actually is a US citizen though.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Gee, it's almost like they're going after illegals regardless of race. Imagine that!

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 30

But they aren’t they specifically got permission to use race as probable cause

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

He wasn't even remotely illegal.

5 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Well, he wasn’t a citizen and apparently his visa/work authorization had expired since it was last checked. I’m sure all this will come out in the follow up articles

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

ACAB, even to other cops.

5 months ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 6

That's literally WHY ACAB is ACAB. Plenty of good people try to become cops. A few succeed. Then they see another officer doing something fucked up. At that point, they either speak up and get slapped down more and more until they are fired/murdered, or they shut up and become part of the problem.

5 months ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

After being raised by two police officers, I agree with this statement

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Occasionally they can push out those problem people.
But then those people often just move and enlist in another place's force.
So while the good ones can win, it only helps their small area and just concentrates the bad cops into the other districts.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Show me a single fucking cop anywhere in the US shooting at masked kidnappers attacking innocent people.

I'll wait.

If you do find one, I'll agree that THEY are an exception to ACAB.

Those problem officers shouldn't be pushed out. They should be stopped, with any necessary force, then jailed. Police are given privilege and power to ACTIVELY protect people, not just refrain from abusing their power, and not a one has done that.

The system is designed to ensure there are NO "good" cops.

After my mom was killed in the line of duty. The city honored her by presenting my father with her Medal of Valor that the city bestowed upon her posthumously.

The mayor gave a statement that "our cops will never aid in ICE." Everyone applauded that except my dad and quite a few police officers.

So I agree with you. While good cops did once exist , they are a reflection to the current political climate. Because our government is corrupt, so have they become as well.

ACAB for my cop mom.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My brother went through the police academy many years ago, because our dad wanted him to.
My brother was meh about it until he heard “you’ll get sued all of the time for doing your job.” He thought along the lines of “if I’m doing my job why would people want to sue me? Is my job wrong? I guess it is wrong.” And thankfully decided to not follow through when he graduated.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Genuinely curious, why do so many people use the word kidnapping? That always conjures up the idea, for me anyways, of someone being picked up and in many cases, never to be seen or heard from again. Once someone is picked up, citizens or otherwise, we actually do know where those folks are at, no?

My favorite is when midwits bring out the "both sides are the same" crap, when one side literally tried to violently overthrow a democratic election because they lost.

5 months ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 2

Oh, you mean JD Vance, yes

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can't believe I have to say this.

I'd like to thank the corpo leftwing middle of the political elite for not going full nazi and leaving it at general opportunist greed. I know y'all are staying out of the fight so you can profit in the aftermath but you could be worse.

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

They're not left-wing. And don't thank them. It's the ratchet effect. The job of these "moderate" political elite is to prevent society from turning to the left. When they're in power, things are relatively stagnant, but you feel better because it's not turning to the right, but they won't allow you to turn it to the left. When the right is in power, it turns towards the right.

They may or may not know their role, but they play it well.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im so sick of "democrats have ineffective policy" = Republicans and democrats are the same

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

One side is going full nazi.

The other side is sending a strongly worded letter.

I'm not happy with either but holy fucking shit is not the same.

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

And before Trump it was "Republicans will slowly chisel away at your civil and labor rights and cut funding to government programs, while somehow spending more than Dems" and "Dems will occasional deliver some watered down improvements, while offering reasonable economic policy ". They're not great. They're not shaking things up. They stabilize the system. If the Democrats represented the right wing of our Overton window, I would be a lot more comfortable.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What would you say instead?

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And are currently rewriting the rules of said election to prepare for next "election"

5 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

They've actually been drastically rewriting the rules for at least the last two presidential terms at minimum, probably more. Trump started laying the foundation for this all just before running for office the first time. It was just more subtle back then. Anyone putting all their hope into the upcoming midterms is being foolish, IMO. Things are so rigged/suppressed at this point that a "fair" or legal election wasn't last time, and certainly won't be this next time around.

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

C’mon dude, don’t throw in the towel so soon. We’re still quite a while away from midterms.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I'm not throwing in the towel, I am just entirely cynical/pessimistic about the situation and see little if any hope. That said, I'm still going to do what I can to fight like hell. I'll continue to protest, do bannering events, call representatives, etc. I just don't think they work, and data supports that. But again, what else can one do other than try? Wins at midterms would be nice, but I wouldn't put all my eggs in that basket like many seem to be doing.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Literally 1/2 of the voting machines are now owned by a a ex-Republican election official. If you don’t think that they’re going to flagrantly steal the midterms as well then you’re not paying attention https://www.npr.org/2025/10/11/nx-s1-5570868/analyzing-dominion-voting-systems-sale-to-firm-run-by-ex-republican-elections-official
