How many years back my uncle bought a car off of the guy. He was driving it home when he suddenly felt something touch. His leg. Looked down to see a 6-ft boa constrictor coming out of the car. The guy's pet had gotten out and nobody realized it had ended up in the car he was selling. My very redneck Uncle completely freaked out. thankfully the guy was able to come get his snake back.
Lived in a canyon in the mountains is southern CA. Had two small kids in the car. Pulled into the garage, opened the car door, heard hsssssssssss. Told the kids that we’re backing out, either it’s a nail in my tire or a rattlesnake, yup, one very pissed snake. We parked elsewhere that afternoon
Carpet python. non venomous, but tend to have bad attitude. they're related to green tree pythons, so they have very long teeth (not fangs, again, not venomous). in captivity they can be very gentle and chill, but they need to be handled often to keep them used to people.
i've commented on this before but this is literally the worst way to move giant heavy bodied snakes like this anaconda. they've got weak spines and dragging/carrying them around from a single point like this could injure them. best to have roughly 1 person per 6 feet of snake, both to better distribute its weight, and to control it in case it decides it doesn't want to move. this video was taken at prehistoric pets and i hate them so much.
I unmuted to see if there was someone describing what was happening.... also, I kind of wanted to hear the girly squeals of that one dude who found the snakemonster thingy.
They likely would, but I would have expected them to be better at identifying that it's not venomous after the initial moment of panic. Some Australian snakes you really don't want to run into.

I feel this in my soul. Almost got bit yesterday. Hisssssed at! Ugh.

What do you do in that moment? Get someone from the veterinary? I wouldn't know how to handle and touch them without a bite.

So the hissing sound wasn't a punctured tire?

Poor snek

Most of the time, when people do this, it seems like an overreaction to something mostly harmless. Snakes get a pass.

Of the 100 venomous snakesi n the world, 99 live in Australia. The other one eats you whole.

Don't unmute. Which is, of course, a dare to have people unmute to see if it was worthy of the warning.

You’re right - some songs need a volume lower than mute
MuffinProof
I'm always unmuted, unlike in real life.
TexMexHex
Carpet python. Very, very bitey. Lots of teefs
ArcUlfr
Not venomous though.
TexMexHex
Pythons are not venomous. Correct
ArcUlfr
If that actually is in Australia, he was probably relieved that it was a python (however bitey a python it was) rather than, say, a coastal taipan.

Non-venomous; there are plenty of snakes in Australia that are far more deserving of those titles.
