My dog has a Vet appointment today at 2:15. Its a 5 minute walk to the Vets.
I woke up at 6:30 AM.
And this is what my brain did. "Don't eat. Don't walk the dog. Do nothing. You have an appointment in EIGHT hours that you have to spend the rest of the day getting ready for by ignoring anything else you normally do."
I was recently diagnosed with Adult ADHD and I don't know if this is a 'thing' that can be a part of it, but I wish my brain would smarten the fuck up and chill.

Literally me any day I have an appointment “can’t work today, getting to my appointment is work today, better check the clock again to increase my anxiety “

Sounds like a dis-appointment /s

Yup, it is. Welcome to the club. I’m not quite as bad, but I’m probably worse in other ways. For example, I’m worried I wouldn’t be able to look after a pet.

Waiting Mode™. So annoying.

I actually used to be absolutely fine with appointments during the school day, because I knew I had to leave partway through X lesson, so I didn't have to think or worry about it until that lesson. (Except worrying about remembering to tell the teacher.) Of course when the lesson came I then spent the whole time anxiously checking the clock, but better than losing the whole of the day before it anyway.
