The decision: be an absolute dickhead instead of walking 100 feet back to the meat section. I'm sure the employee that finds that room temperature fish in 2 hours will definitely throw it out rather than just sticking it back in the case.
They could have at least brought it with them to the register and let a staff member know they changed their mind. They have a refrigerated section to put go-backs in till they can be re-shelved. I do that at least once a month...

1000% agree. I have watched people do that, picked up the product, told their kid mommy was doing Satan's work and put it back in the freezer. Lady complained to a manager and at first they were going to kick me out then i explained it and she got trespassed from Walmart. Small wins. Wish I had recorded it so when im 90 with dementia I could watch it again.
