The closest one used to be vegas but now its close enough to be a real problem. Backed by Superbowl Champion Sam Darnold and currently a 6 hour wait to get an online order.

yummy

chicken

Canes is ok, a bit too much coating for me. Sauces are bland. Little to no seasoning on the chicken.
If you want better fried chicken try NY fried chicken. The meat is actually seasoned.
For more crispier fried chicken with better sauces try Bon chons.

One opened a few years ago in my area, went there once, didn't find it to be all that special.

Cane's is fine for what it is, but it's not the best chicken tender place for me. There's this small Korean chicken tender place nearby that is just *chef's kiss;* they are seasoned amazingly, juicy, and the breading is perfect, and their variety of sauces!

Thats how the traffic always look when I'm there. I was recently at UW and it took an hour to get to the ferry terminal downtown

So bad they had to shut down 2 lanes on the I-5 bridge for 6 months

While I can give cudos to them from on operational standpoint for keeping their menu simple. That simplicity means that they have to do what little they do VERY well. Which is why I'm so confused at just how bland their fried chicken is? Is the seasoning on the secret menu?

Along with any other sauce option besides bland Thousand Island Dressing.

Really? I thought it was bland, boring people-of-a--certain-color spiceless, flavorless chicken. The sauce they're so proud of is almost as nondescript. People do seem to line up for it, for soms unfathomable reason.

Not everyone is a tiny-dicked loser who needs overly spicy food to feel masculine. Some people like to taste their actual food.

It's wild to me that people get excited about fast food.

Right? "Oh boy, a CORPORATE FRANCHISE with FAMILIAR LOGOS just opened up nearby! I can't wait to see their unique take on microwaving frozen Sysco food for me! If I'm REALLY lucky, they at least cut their own potato fries, but probably not!" You know what gets me excited? Those independently owned restaurants that only locals know how to find, that kick ass, and compete against the established franchises by actually being good.

Canes is badass, I will take a Caniac please.

People who go crazy for their bland chicken and generic, nothing-special sauce, are probably the same ones that go crazy for Krispy Kreme. I'll never understand it. There is nothing special about either of them.

Just get some Zaxbys

When we got one here, it changed traffic patterns. Now there are so many different ones, that one is dead most of the time.

Runner up for the most overrated chicken fast food restaurant in the US.

I was in Plano Texas at a Raising Cane's when a lady in a mini-van zoomed across the parking lot, went airborne on the curb, and smashed through the side double doors. There were some folks raising cain in there that day I tell you what.

It’s funny, I remember when they first opened a Bojangles near where I used to live. The lines were ridiculously long too. It didn’t help that this was during Covid shut down when they could only do drive thru and no dine-in.

My kid loves canes. And no I don't get it. Especially considering we live closer to Popeyes and gas station tenders. For me its a toss up which of the latter two are better.

Popeyes and gas station chicken... You live in the South East don't you? The gas station near me is the absolute best chicken strips you'll ever eat. The secret is an ungodly amount of salt.

Our gas station strips have a good spice blend, but I wouldn't say they're overly salty. I personally prefer them as the Popeyes strips look less like they're made from tenders and more that they sliced up a chicken breast and made from that.

I have no idea. Tried them once and was like "how does a place that only does chicken fingers do them so MID?!"

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Right!? When generic grocery store frozen chicken fingers can be made that are far better than what they sell... I have to wonder wtf is wrong with people. I mean frozen chicken fingers are not great chicken fingers, but they -are- better than Cane's
