I regret that I have but one up vote to give

#2 maybe making women wear heels through those silly doors to make her both duck and stumble wasn't the future we needed?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#5 Lexx was (and always will be) AMAZING! Completely absurd at times but amazing

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#2 She has a strong forward momentum.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#25 My favorite part.

Yeah, that was the one that convinced me to part with my hard-earned upvote.

#9 P90 was built for a hypothetical contract that would possibly come about, fueled by fears that the russians had new, lightweight titanium body armor for their parachutists. It was theorized a bunch of russians could be dropped behind the front lines who would be "immune" to the 9mm pistols and SMG's in service at the time. It was far worse at armor pen than service rifles. It was meant to be a light, handy weapon for backline truck drivers, cooks, and other support staff.

#9 though the P90 does actually have more than a few special operations users and US SWAT teams buying them. SG-1 used it partially because it ejects spent brass straight down, Good for having your cast close together for a tight shot but not hitting eachother with hot brass. Later seasons we see Carter use a different gun, This was in part due to the war on terror IRL needing the bullet factory to make real ones for mil use so less capacity for blanks for film/tv usage.

You'd think they would keep all the brass for reuse.

#1 I used to have a thing for Colonel Virginia Lake. I still do, but I used to, too.

#4 That top is a Swedish or Norwegian thermal layer.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Is it becausw it's breezy

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It makes warm air pockets under an outer layer. It goes in place of long johns and is much warmer. I had a pair and loved them.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Galaxy Quest is still the best Trek movie ever made.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Star Wars is Fantasy, not SciFi. Fight me

#10 how does he do a sit-up?

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Lays on his back, then rolls himself forward, and forward, and forward, and forward, until he is a little ball. Then the inverse.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stomach crunches.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why wouldn't he be able to do a sit-up? Hutts' can lie on their back too.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can go with most, but Lexx is the most cursed shit ever made. Hate it

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nick Drake’s sister, Gabrielle, was in IFO, also. She’s the one w the purple hair.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*UFO

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait - Gabrielle Drake was Nick Drake's sister? I remember her from 70s TV but never knew that

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The women characters wore purple wigs on the moon, but not on Earth, in UFO, see photo. No purple wigs on the men, hmm.

I remember watching that show at the time - I would have been 6 and just getting into Dr Who (That presenter, Peter Purves, was a companion of the 1st Doctor, William Hartnell)

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Me too! I was 8! Damn, mate, we're gettin' old!;

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Still, that's better then the alternative... 😏

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#5 I tried to watch LEXX. The first few episodes were ... rough

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate to break it to everyone, but the P90 is a fairly successful product line, in use by militaries and special forces around the world.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Now, yes. In the 1990s..not so much. It was still a new, unverified platform back then.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, now they are. Thanks entirely and solely because of their popularity in Stargate SG-1. (This is probably not true, but I believe it anyways)

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

#2 All that tech ... you'd think they could make doors tall enough to walk through.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Hey buddy, latinum just doesn't grow on trees. Do you want custom doors, or deflector shields?.... can't afford both.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#4 DAMN!!! Those are real!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#2 that woman is 90% legs, and I am all for it.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#19 I love this!

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#9 the P-90 gets a bad rap but it is an exceptional weapon - it's designed to be a crew personel weapon so has no protruding parts that can get snagged, it's bullpup design has maximum barrel length but a compact design - but it still has a massive magazine.

1 year ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

So they thought of everything but ammo availability.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is truly ageless design, like the belgian techno anthem Pump up the jam

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Except it doesn't have a tendency to jam.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It sure is fun to use in GoldenEye!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The story about Stargate buying up all the ammo is also bullshit. It was already widely in use by several agencies in the US and many other countries by then.

1 year ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

It is an amusing "anecdote", but the idea of FN not having enough ammo stockpiled is laughable on its face.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Especially so when you know how much FN prioritizes government contracts.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

And it's a HOOT to fire!

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I used to love the RCP-90 in Goldeneye on the N64 (We played that in multiplayer until Quake and Quake 2 came out - I HIGHLY recommend the remasters, Quake 1 for single player or 2 for multiplayer) - they include the originals IIRC so you can use with a source port and play Arcane dimensions, Slayers Testaments and other great mods. The remaster has so much free stuff too!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The P90 was always my go-to in the two Rainbow 6 Vegas games when in close quarters. Used it in game again recently when replaying Ghost Recon Wildlands. No idea how well games translate to real life use of course, but it was always very manoeuvrable.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow, Blethrin Cucalindermufftry's mom? Awesome!

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

His name is named Timothy Carlton Congdon Cumberbatch, but his actor stage name was Timothy Carlton.
Benedict said, nah, fuck that, we're bringing back the Cumberbatch.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fun fact, Benedict's RL parents play his parents in Sherlock.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's an odd way to spell Bendybit Custardaplash.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I will never ever ever get tired of this joke <3

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really just goes to show its all nepotism. Basically everyone who is anyone in hollywood is related to someone else in hollywood.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Ventham has no influence in Hollywood. She's principally known as a TV actress and all the films she has been in were British films.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Not unusual; Donald Trump hired his daughter and her husband

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But strangely without the talent and intelligence.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#2 is she really tall or are the doors really small?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Small doors.

The UFO series can be found here in good quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcgDpQjkum8&list=PLUA9kG1DciUwkpW9earbzux_rdj9-bb8j

I freaking loved UFO (and anything by Gerry Anderson). I had the Interceptor that fires a big rubber missile (for about a week till I shot it somewhere and lost it); and the SHADO Mobile with the flip-top roof. Also had a fantastic jigsaw of it.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ooh look at mr. Moneybags over here

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just double-checking here... "good quality" doesn't mean "AI upscaled" like it did with the Britbox release of Thunderbirds, does it?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No idea. I just took a quick look and it's looked okay. Couldn't tell you if it's upscaled or not.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lexx was aight. Much preferred Farscaoe

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I worked on Stargate SG-1 and then later for atlantis. The P90 was a very strange looking weapon and I noted that to the armorer as I was former Canadian Armed Services princess Patricia's. When I picked it up I honestly believed it was a prop until he showed me which areas they'd remove parts from so that was not a functioning weapon that could take an actual live round anymore. They also loaded the cases a little bit differently to reduce the rate of fire so they weren't having people

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

it also ejects spent casings downwards so they could do close shots of the cast firing and nobody got hot brass to the face.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Expend a full magazine load in a few seconds.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Canadian Armed what?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Never been Canadian Armed Services; Canadian Armed Forces, abbreviated CAF. The Pats didn't do a little bit of everything; they are infantry

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a generic term that covers all of Canada's Arm Forces from the Air Force to engineers and artillery. In my case we did a little bit of everything

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

that's complete BS...
