"I saw an update to this story.

Mr. Mykola, the car's owner, was brought to a repair station and got his car fixed for free.
The next morning, he was able to continue his journey and has reached Uman already." - @Gerashchenko_en

The way that Ukraine has pulled together continues to astonish me. I guess it shouldn’t at this point but the fact that a country can maintain so much humanity in the face of so much adversity makes me feel like we might make it.
HEXtheDark
Looks like a movie prop.
TrumpRapesAndEatsChildren0002
Brings back memories... had that exact same car during the 89 refugee waves (East -> West), also broke down shortly before reaching the destination. Lasted longer than anyone expected.
AdroitCudgel
Compare this to America, where this guy would have been arrested and his car and property impounded.
TheAgingRaver
Gotta get them pics! Clout above all.
REOJackwagon
Sometimes it's not about clout. This was caused by the idiot in charge of russia, this man deserves to have his story known. Also it's good to see he was receiving help with his situation
cytherians
Give that guy some new struts! So low to the ground, that car is not going to last much longer... Not with the war torn roads of Ukraine.
UsertubeBandwagon
looks like every Bulgarian car on the Autobahn!

I wish my prayers helped. I know they don’t. I speak to everyone of my support for them. Give where I can. Church’s that collect for them. I don’t trust big charities anymore.
Jandegrote
I don't trust the curch any more they just use the money to buy a jet or cover up some pedo lawsuits.

Usually women plan this stuff and follow through that I find. But I only give to smaller local churches not that super churches on TV those are just money makers.

I was living in Germany at the end of 1989. When The Wall fell, there were many small East German cars, Trabant, similarly packed seen in various West German locations. The max speed of those was around 45 mph. You could have quite the traffic jam if a souped up Trabant was trying to pass a normal one. They also had impossibly small lights front and back so were difficult to see at night.
TheBrownstain
I've seen lots of Trabant's at an ex soviet airfield in northern Germany close to Wolfgast some 140 or so
Relictivity
I was living in Berlin then and those Trabants were dirt cheap. Like $50. The two stroke engines sounded like a small motorboat.
happywalker
trabants everywhere. even saw a few here in ireland after the wall came down. :-P
Ikwilstroopwaffels
God this poor guy. Anyone know who he is? How we could send him 20 euro or something?
TrueNorthernLights
I wish we could.
Hexidimentional
poor guy, poor car. Its tired and gave up.
Canigetbannedagain2
This is how real police should act, helping people.
SaturnineCult
It's a lowrider now! But seriously, it is kind of impressive that ancient car pushed through half the country with that load.
FussyZeus
If there's anything I learned from Top Gear/Grand Tour's road trip episodes, it's that cars are *remarkable* machines. Even shitbox ones.
Now if they could've ever figured out how to get Clarkson to shut the fuck up about anything not about cars...
ilavalamp
His farm show is pretty good.
thewiggins
I think that is a Lada Riva, and could be from the '90s. One of those cars that is neither completely fixed or broken.
SaturnineCult
My mom had 70's Lada 1200, it had no problems starting after standing for a week in -40c. I wonder how the hell the battery even had any juice in it.
