I can only imagine all the lawsuits being filed is extremely lucrative for anyone in the field….unfortunately we’re also entering an era where the social contract behind the law is becoming functionally meaningless and if the violent arms of the government (military, law enforcement, intelligence) line up behind him and allow themselves to become centralized? We’re all in big fucking trouble.
The litigation is fine for folks who do that, but the regulatory reversals, wholesale destruction of enforcement capabilities, and bizarre/ambiguous agency priorities are making plenty of interesting billable hours outside of litigation. I am primarily a transactional guy and pretty much every single day they are fucking up all sorts of otherwise ordinary things that are midstream.

Well, I'm sure I speak for a lot of non-lawyers, myself included, that we're all pretty disappointed as well.

I'm a practicing lawyer. This is creating tons of legal work. If it weren't for, you know, the overt destruction of democracy, it would be great.
chefsoda
Sadly, this is entirely true & horrid.
