I don't get why people care about gas prices so much. Rent tripling in 5 years is what fucked me. Price of gas seems almost negligible compared to everything else increasing.
I'm in Australia and ours are up to $2.25 in some places from 1.70$ earlier in the week. Per litre. That's 22% percent since Monday. You fat fuck. You've added a quarter more to a full take of petrol let alone food and freight. Not too mention all the innocent all the people you've murdered or the children you've raped.
I work with these prices for a living and I would like to point out professional standards when looking at this for any involved.
Most places will use the EIA reporting tables for gas and diesel prices for calculating costs. (Just Google EIA gas padd 3 and it shows up)
This is what large corporations use in logistics to calculate fuel surcharge on shipping costs. (Alongside the firstmile surcharge rate table) we have shown a 2.5% increase for 2 weeks straight. Following a .6% increase.
The straight closed over the weekend and reporting happens every Monday. So there has not been enough time to fully recognize impact. But the calculations I ran for my company show a rough predicted increase of around 9.7% in the coming 2 weeks on an average.
This is because only 8% of the current US oil imports are affected by the straight closing. And while it does supply 17% of global oil trade.
Global rising prices will affect the rate we pay for imports but we also expect that russia
Bypassing sanctions through 3rd party countries will actually keep the global prices more stable than we would be likely led to believe.
The big issue i see here. Is that while this isnt guaranteed. It does look like something worth looking into that oil execs may have known about the Iran strikes before congress and we did yet again due to their pricing strategies over the past 4 weeks.
A pathetic, weak little man without any conscience or morals whatsoever. Just when you think he couldn't possibly get any shittier - that somewhere or somehow he'll show the slightest decency, intelligence, or poise - nope, he's shit all the way down. He's like some matryoshka doll of despicable stupidity and thoughtless noise. You can peel away all the layers you want and find only more & more corruption. Only thing worse than that child raping homunculus are the people who praise & support him
this is the "i take no responsibility" guy. this is the "i know the most about anything" until "no one knew it was this complicated" guy. this is par for the course.
On Monday, gas was 2.15. By Tuesday it was 2.69. Thursday was 2.89. And those are the cheap gas stations (Murphy, Kroger) not Shell or Chevron. I didn't notice the diesel price until last night, it was 4.29. And the only reason it's that cheap is because I'm an hour drive from the refineries.
Agreed but.. I moved to the Houston area for work in 2020 and later that year interest rates were insanely low and I ended buying a decent 3 br house for 175k w/ 2.875% interest. Foods amazing, its cheaper here, easy to travel and I can head out to Mexico anytime. Cant wait to head south and retire.

Just wait, if the war ends quickly enough, he'll start patting himself on the back as gas prices start settling down, too.
