Public executions sound too civil at this point.

That only helps if we all do things (including but not limited to voting).

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly. So organize.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're talking about the wealthy that are pulling all the strings, right?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean...do we? I want to be positive, but trump won the popular vote and 1/3 of the pop looked at trump and Kamala and said "I literally can't tell the difference". There are MANY who look at what's going on as a "who cares" type thing...I'm just so tired of this shit...

Not by as much as we should. Mf has nearly 35% approval rn.

History shows that you need to activate on average only 3.5% of the population to overcome a totalitarian regime!

There are 6 Supreme Court justices that outnumbered all of us and gave these assholes carte blanche.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yet you seem to not do any meaning full thing. A few brave souls yelling at them isn't going to change any thing... So maybe start organizing so the political masters, with the power of to de-found ICE, will start to fear you...

There's over 500,000,000 freedom delivery gadgets in this landscape.

A bag of flour , scattered and exposed to an open flame, or pool supplies and laundry chemicals.

Fertilizer and urine

And not all of them violate YouTube's T&Cs. Use your imagination and break the safe usage rules. Look up online what grocery store chemicals react with each other and how you can fit them in a small... throw-able container.... buy a drone and look up how Ukraine is using theirs.

I've started calling my representatives every Monday to recount the horrors of the week that call for impeachment. Even and especially the Republican senator.

Don't think this is sleeprkid. wrong handle?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

New year, new account.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sleeperkid is just another talker, like all of us on here. No different than you are me, he just talks more than we do.

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Actually he is different from you and me. You see, he paid for a blue checkmark on the nazi site.

They have more bullets than we do people. Then they have bombs, biological weapons, and nukes. They have the will to use them.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

As we've seen over the past week, ICE is going to shoot you in the face even if you don't resist and even if you're a legal citizen If you don't fight you will lose. If you do fight back you actually have a chance of winning.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure why this is being downvoted

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

People on here don`t like bad news.....even if it`s accurate.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Because the parent poster is an absolute fucking loser who still has a high chance of being shot in the head by ICE regardless of whether he resists or not.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Let me explain then. It is being downvoted because it is defeatist. Certainly the Trump administration has more bullets and even nukes. Those DO NOT prevent a lot of civil resistance. Take a look at other resistance movements in repressive countries - it is rare that the army is prepared to just mow down civilians.

This is what the movie A bugs life was trying to teach us. https://media1.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1dzVlY2dpeGJsenU3M2c4cm5pcnp0bnMwcHJlc2wxYjg4aW04YjJ5MSZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/Yuvl9zDgVNCcU/200w.webp I'm lj

Hey, that's a very hurtful stereotype to my kind. How would you like it if I just started spouting ten codes at you? https://media1.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1YTJjYWhneHA4NW40a3V2NDhxYmFjeGYyczl1YmF4Nm04MHg4NGxybiZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/xT9DPr4VjeCgeiLoMo/200w.webp

We do. And we are way smarter. And we are sane.

3 months ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 1

Yeah... but they get elected and have immunity. Sooo...

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't stop Trump from getting re-elected, because they cheat, intimidate, and are well funded and backed. So Americans need to create an advantage that's more than being smart and sane, or start putting those to better use. Because you're being outsmarted by idiots.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah, at a certain point "smart and sane" stops being a virtue. A big part of why the opposition got as far as they did was a large pool of people willing to destroy their lives (family alienation, loss of employment, incarceration, or even death) over what they saw as a principled stand while the professional political operators kept their hands clean. No one on the "smart" side is jumping in line to be a blood sacrifice for a cause.

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

While I'm glad that there are still sane people in the US, I'm not sure the last part is to your advantage...

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So...do something? Like actual something, not just preaching to the choir. And i mean it, an honest to gods plea, with pure dread in my heart. If you guys don't take advantage of the fact that YOU CAN get guns, and if you don't get out and DO SOMETHING....yes, there will be loss, as in any revolution and any change. but we already know how much more will follow if you don't DO SOMETHING! ALL OF YOU, THE SANE ONES, THE SMARTER ONES, THE EMPATHETIC ONES! the ones that are there! please...

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

No more losses please. I’m not sure I can handle any more senseless losses.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The problem with fascism is that there is always a new enemy. Someone has to suffer, even die, so that fascists can feel something again. The USA still have a few chances to avoid their own downfall, but the people have to get together and, as corny as it sounds, have to stand together to make it work. Strength in numbers.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wellp.... it's happening already... it's gonna continue. you don't want it, i don't want it, but these morons revel in it....

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Heard Rachael Maddow on Jimmy kimmel say that historically when protests reach 3.5% of the population they become too big to ignore.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's more nuanced. It's worth the read/listen to have the researcher explain.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is, the noted successes are against foreigner opposition not domestic. And they fought back when necessary such as police crackdowns/coup attempts in the baltics by soviet union. As well as broader international support.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They also played heavily on nationalist sympathies rather than moral stances.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im sure it is, but at face value, it takes a lot less than it would appear to make change happen. Do you have any links or hints as to what to search for as a source?

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's fair, we can certainly use some positive right now.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3.5%25_rule
Author that's most quoted gave an interview about it:
https://crooked.com/podcast/the-3-5-protest-rule-that-could-bring-down-trump/
I sware that I listened to another pod with her that went deeper and more critical of her own work. Can't seem to remember which pod though.
