Princess Mononoke is my second, but have to be the original that basically made Studio Ghibli possible, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.

Is all of them an option? Totoro, Castle In the sky, Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, Kiki, Ponyo, Princess Mo. I adored all of them.

So many good ones, I can't pick an absolute, but Kiki's delivery service is probably up there for me. Maybe a bit nostalgic ,first one I saw

Same here, for the longest time I didn't know there was anything else, and now I can't wait to finish updating my blu ray collection.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

you must like being sad

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I honestly do enjoy movies that make me sad... if I'm attached enough to the characters to feel real emotion for them, the movie did its job

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should watch a documentary called Dear Zachary, then. DO NOT read anything about it though, that would spoil it for you

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1. Nausicaa 2. Howl 3. Mononoke 4. Lupin 3rd cagliostro 5. Totero 6. Porco Rosso 7. Kiki's Delivery service. the rest are similar in liking

You really lucked out on the movie your kid decided to watch incessantly. Totoro's a masterpiece. Your kid could have gone for like Minions

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fingers crossed that he never finds out about it!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why won't you show them the rest of the movie?

Whisper of the Heart is very competitive to me, but I can watch Kiki's Delivery Service on repeat. That movie and Pulp Fiction are the top.
