As a 20 year old planning on being a history teacher this was 100% true for me as a kid.
Bgleason1997
My response probably would be Sabaton.
KaJuN
I love how Battlefield 1 has historical info on the loading screens.
cyberpunxie
MOHAA is the first shooter I played. "Powell! Check the door!" Good times.
AlabasterScarf
Frontline was the best fps ever. Prove me wrong.
wildcatfan4life
Call of Duty 2 taught me about Pointe De Hoc attack on D-Day.
snowy129
MASH is the only reason I know anything at all about the Korean war.

robotnixon13
MOHAA is what I did rather than talk to girls in middle school.
SeekingSomething
That was one of the coolest games I ever played
uchytjes
I play paradox grand strategy games. I can probably give a better rundown of history since the fall of the roman empire than most people1/2
can of their own history.

I got a look at an F-16 at an airshow and rattled off the names and functions of various switches and he asked where I learned them and 1/?
pulled a copy of the flight book from "F-16 Fighting Falcon" from my pack which he looked through and said they got a few things wrong and
I said this book was based on the "Block 40" aircraft and he nodded
Then he looked at who wrote it and saw two people who instructed him were co-writers of the manual.
Ulthirm
Verdun... we started talking about the battle of verdun but i had already been interested by... being tramatized by the game and researched
way too much about the actual events that i may have actually scared my teacher

Hybris51129
Did you have to sit with a administrator and get questioned about possibly shooting up the school afterwards?
No because 13 years ago people didnt think anyone with an interest in guns wanted to kill someone
Valdien76
*CLING*
This and watching all those documentaries on the history and military channel. You know...back when they actually had shows about history.
I lived and breathed Modern Marvels and Tales of the Gun. Of course that was all that was on after Bill Nye end.

Hi, welcome to my shit pawn shop that is history for some reason. Also Bigfoot
Sonicdahedgie
Pawn Stars at least started out good. It was a bunch of pieces of obscure history trivia blended into a show about running a business.
minipancho94
when it first aired it was a nice change of pace that still fit the theme a bit, but now that shit has taken over. was nice once a week.

Uh cool, a very complex topic, witch went of 100 years in one game guide with 20 pages.
AGiantTransWoman
What? Not only does this not make English, but it covered the game and relevant game history. Old manuals were more like 30 pages.
