I water the plants at work semi weekly and turn them 1/8 turn every time I water them.
OatmealBreakfast
That's exactly what you're supposed to do to ensure even growth.
copingcabana
Cool fact, this is caused by the sunlight weakening the stalk on the sun facing side. Shorter stalk on that side makes it tilt towards sun

My plant has 4 leaves. One wasn't getting any light, so he killed it and grew a better one. I'm very proud of him.
Ipostwhilehigh
They say it's good to stress them by underwatering once in awhile to encourage deeper roots
Thank you for sending my silly plant post to the FP! This is an actual pic I took today 1/

And water them with ice just to tease

Sounds like someone has too much time on their hands... Good plant dad

I bought a small potted basil plant from Wal-Mart for an artisan pizza. I'm now too attached to it to eat it anymore. I need a cat or someth

I'm doing this with a succulent. It just goes right round baby right round, like a record baby. Right round round.

Actually I think that's suggested to keep them straight

Dude that's offensive. Let plants be gay if they want to

You sick fuck. I like you.

I rotate mine so they don't lean too far in one direction & break.
Biglebowski748
Aren't you just helping them get more sunlight all around?
Patternsofculture
I do this too! With exclusion of orchids who dont like to be moved ever.
HsuDoNihm
Making them reach back and forth can stretch the stems/stalks, which may weaken some plants. Slow down if they start getting spindly.
Not actually "stretch", but cause them to grow longer and thinner... much like stretching.
ActionArmadillo
Easy there, Crowley.
blonx
I thought they normally did this
SolarBunBun
There's a wrong way?
takethatyourogue
Sort of true, more true for internships. I would start looking in feb/march. Most companies aren't looking that far ahead.

Ok, I first read this as PANTS the wrong way...

Yes, but I doubt that the other guy is also a master gardener.
No, you are supposed to rotate plants
ImTheOriginalSam
Could you ask your mom why my echeveria is dying? I'm watering it sparsely and getting it plenty of sun but nothing is helping.
judezilla
Echeveria need free-draining soil - maybe re-pot it loosely? Also, check for scale on the leaves and mealy worm on the stalk.
Boopbeepbeep
1/Succulents sometimes really like having moving air near them, either a breeze or a fan, well draining soil & avoid standing water. I like
2/throwing down some rocks at the bottom of the pot before the soil to make sure it drains well.
3/ and avoid using a plastic planter. If it's too hot in the sun, it cooks the root.
I actually have one of those. The type of soil is really important. Repotting it can help too. Pic?
/a/s5CtH I think the layer of rocks at the top is glued together or something. Could make repotting problematic
I think you should start there, you have a lot of plants in that pot. Get good quality soil for succulents/cacti. Repotting has done wonders
