Looks to be CGC Eagle which is a cadet training platform.

I fee like the view was spectacular enough without saturating the SHIT out of the colours.

That's what happens when you book your journey too late. You just get whatever seat they can find.

Do a flip.

I am watching this from my PC - was hit by vertigo and my knees feels weak now. Puuuh...

Rise and what now?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now imagine being up their in hurricane force winds, with 15’ waves, heavy Icy rain and no modern safety harness, maybe if your lucky a single rope tied around your waste but probably not even that, all you’ve had to eat for the last 3 months is salted meat and stale rain water, as your scurvy ridden body does it’s best to tie down the mast to keep the boat from crashing into the jagged rocks of the coast, and then you might be close to knowing what it was like to sail around the Cape Horn

Waist*

Fake. How you moving with the sails up? Huh??

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive done that, its only terrifying when wind exists, at all, anywhere.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To bad this wasn't posted on Thursday since this technically counts as thigh high.

Is that Götheborg?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It looks like a green with yellow flag. I think it’s the Cisne Branco

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Christian Radich maybe? I have absolutely no idea. All so pretty!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not the Götheborg, i've been on board and would recognize it. Looks a lot like the Cisne Branco like BrandtsBuijs said. The Christian Radich has white masts/booms etc.

See? IT'S FLAT (/s)

Where's the curve, sheeple??!!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you manning the cockswail?

2 years ago | Likes 123 Dislikes 2

While below deck they're manning the whalecocks.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As wail as can be expected, yes.

I'm wondering if he needs more seamen on his poop deck.

One of the most comfortable places in the world when it's smooth, and one of the most uncomfortable when the wind hits 18m/s.

2 years ago | Likes 420 Dislikes 0

It'll never be smooth enough to get me up there..

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I sailed with Statsraad Lehmkuhl for 4 weeks. It's the coolest thing I've ever done, but pulling in the top sail on the main mast in full storm in Kattegat was NOT FUN.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

It’s almost never smooth though. Lost halyards/broken blocks and had to go to the top of the mast across Atlantic and Pacific. I don’t think it’s ever been that comfortable. I’m usually a spinning top 80 feet off the deck desperately trying to hold on to the stays and not drop tools

Have You ever considered coming down? There is a whole world of comfortable places right under Your feet.

2 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

Trust me, I'm literally a Pole.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The world is Your oyster. You can be happy as a clam.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My bed is particularly comfortable I must say.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Try being in a bosuns chair and changing mast lights with a pitching sea and gale force winds.

Try keeping these crumbs off my shirt as I snack away watching The Bear.

Let it rip.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No ❤️

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Yeah 18m/s is ~35 knots, it picked up further and it was decided i had to come down.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What's m/s?

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Maracuyas per Serendipitous event.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably meters per second. 1 m/s is roughly 2.2 mph

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

the ratio of meatballs per spaghetti

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

megabits per serving

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Medical healthcare per socialist

2 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

mascara per sister

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Miles per second

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

that would be terrifying. if my math's not wrong that's over 64,000 mph.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thats why its wrong. Its meters per second. Hence the lower case m. Uppercase would be miles. No idea why tho. Just somethin i remember from trig.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Moose divided by squirrels. It's a complicated but very effective way to measure distances, speed, and animal population within a cubic kilometer all at once

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This question isn't that unexpected, but still Really depressing.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0
