Nope. To become "engorged" means to get big or swollen. To "gorge" just means to eat a lot all at once. It's used in a technical sense to refer to what, say, a lion does after catching a gazelle -- i.e., he eats pretty much the whole thing at once, even though it weighs nearly as much as he does. (Because, you know, he doesn't have a refrigerator, and it may be like a week or more until the next time he can catch another gzelle.) But it's also used in amore informal sense, as OP does.
