Story below.

I worked at this airline for a summer internship in their corporate headquarters. I plan to go back when I graduate as they have amazing culture. The entire company works together to make sure the customer or guest as we like to call them has an amazing experience.

Or, you know, regardless of service, don't inflict your screaming infant on other travelers.

Nobody knows how to spell "Aisle" properly.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Mentioned. United. That's a paddling

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Can we stop hating on United? They aren't the ones who did anything wrong. What happened was terrible, but don't blame innocent people.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

2 bad issues between literally hundreds if not thousands of positive flights from United....just like cops, or any other company

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

loving the hate in the comments from the shitheels who are totally anti-kids on planes. What a bunch of cunts.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

So I was on united yesterday and the attendant did this with my 10 mo. old. Another attendant came up and said they steal babies now.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Only flown once with an infant... this kind of help would have been HAPPILY welcomed.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Am I the only one who thought she was breast feeding that baby?

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a dad of 3 I learned, almost all women in a certain age range will step over dead bodies to hold babies on their arms.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

No. Not all women.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

That's why I've written "almost all". But you don't care, I know. Me neither.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Baby is in pain. pull the babys earlobes downward gently. They can't equalize well, this opens the ear canal and their ears pop. quiet bliss

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I'm not saying that they're not good people, but I will point out that calling customers guests isn't that unique. I've worked at (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Starbucks, Wendy's, and Panera Bread while I've been in High School/College and all of them refer to customers as guests. (2/2)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Last week my friend almost couldn't fly because she was missing I.D. The WestJet rep helped her get a fishing license at the ticket counter!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Filled out the application and printed it out for her all because she renewed her photo I.D. and only had a non-photo temporary.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Impressive. And that was acceptable?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Must be West Jet .. air Canada would have put the baby in the luggage compartment

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Oh look it was

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

And that's why babies and small children should not be allowed on airline flights

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Last week had a 6 hour flight. Toddler about that age across the aisle. Played for an hour, then slept the rest of the way. Benadryl?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Kinda like the animal doping stuff they give to cats and dogs before travel

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Air Canada can be almost as bad as united...

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

They are ultimately both run by the Star Alliance.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They're not run by Star Alliance, they're members.

I like how United called the police, and then people got mad at united the police dragged him off

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

It's ok, THEIR preferred airline doesn't do any of that stuff. Nope nope.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Hired thugs do their dirty work, I guess.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

TIL that United Airlines hired Chicago Police Department.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Can't just blame the henchmen.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But did you try hitting it with a stroller?

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

Two sides to every story. Check out other passengers accounts of what happened.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's a joke

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Asking the real questions.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just saw that story, YIKES!

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Would they not let you bring an old set of jumper cables on the plane?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Alternatively... Don't take a fucking baby on the airplane.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Are you just supposed to leave it at home?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes. Or really anywhere except a goddamn airplane.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 month old babies shouldn't be on a plane. kids should be at least 3 or 4 years old to be on a plane. just my opinion.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 6

Saw this in random. My first thought exactly.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed. Parents of young kids seem to get away with murder when it comes to inconveniencing everyone around them.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

and I guess its a lot of unnecessary stress for the child, too.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

But but but priority boarding! As long as airlines incentivize bringing shitty babies on airplanes, it will continue to happen.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

As a Canadian, I can tell you it's not a "Canada's better at this than America" thing. I'm really uncomfortable with this sort of thing. (1)

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 5

Yeah buddy there are hosers all around us

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Why hasn't a Canadian airline company adopted the slogan "Take off, eh?!"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've had great experiences on US airlines, and bad ones on Canadian and others. Let's not be braggarts.

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 4

Yep if you've ever been on air canada rouge you know it's a different story

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah we've got our fair share of assholes

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've had both, but better good experiences on Canadian airlines (Canadian Airlines pre-merge) and worse bad experiences on American (Delta).

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That's because you flew delta.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I know. I shoulda walked to LA from Toronto. I get it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Try Canada Rouge. Awful, simply awful.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

Isn't it the most inexpensive flight option though?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For the trip i wanted, yes. I'd have paid the extra if i knew how bad it would be.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like a canned sardine in those fucking awful seats.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My sister/brother in law just got back from Ireland on Rouge and said the same thing

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I used them to visit my brother in Toronto. No in flight entertainment but an app they tell you about after you take off and can't download

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

PSA: Don't take babies on planes.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 16

Last week had a 6 hour flight. Toddler about that age across the aisle. Played for an hour, then slept the rest of the way. Benadryl?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

That or jet lag

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Just leave them home. They're able to find for themselves at an early age.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

No, just mail them ahead. They'll be there waiting for you when you arrive. Simple stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Should I pay for express post?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Of course. No need to be cruel.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

SWEET FUCKING CHRST IT'S 'AISLE' NOT 'ISLE'. THAT'S A FUCKING ISLAND. HOW MANY TIMES?! (Not you OP, it's in the original post.)

9 years ago | Likes 376 Dislikes 34

Agreed. I also think anyone who says easy peasy is a total douche canoe.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I love how many dumb wedding posts are like "can't wait to walk down the isle" and then I respond "oh a destination wedding! Nice!"

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

this drives me nuts as well

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How many times what?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's written in a Canadian accent and pronounced "isle"...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So now I'm reading this, "iz-lay".

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesis crist budy relaxx. Hoo givs a phit

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What you did their. I see it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually, here in Canada we construct miniature moats along the corridor to sooth the passengers. So, in truth, it is something of an isle.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I tried to read over it.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Don't sweat it. That guy is a huge jerk, and I hope he gets stranded on a dessert aisle.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Wait, can I get stranded on a dessert aisle? That sounds awesome.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Sure. But it's a Portlandia style dessert aisle, with shit like carob instead of chocolate. And it's not good carob, either.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn, dude. That's some Twilight Zone shit right there.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If that flight attendant wants a baby, I'll give her a baby.

9 years ago | Likes 953 Dislikes 35

And, even in spite of all the rivers in all the land, the thirst was still there. The end.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Stop stealing other people's babies. That doesn't make you robin hood.

9 years ago | Likes 131 Dislikes 4

I guess I would be robbin' brood?

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

godamn he is GOOD! you win the internet and my firstborn. Baby, give this man our baby.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nah plenty of babies in the hood, robin hood all day long.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Seriously, does the second comment already have to be this creepy? ..

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 35

Don't know why you were downvoted. The comment was creepy as hell.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 17

Because it was vague and put humorously. No profanity and playing off the subject of the post

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Somebody's going to get those fake internet points.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

TL;DR Canadian airlines steal crying babies

9 years ago | Likes 2721 Dislikes 5

where was she going to go at 10,000 ft

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

WestJet accidentally sent a dog to the wrong airport where it got loose. They flew the owner in and paid all her expenses. Dog found safe.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good thing found the short version. Thanks lol

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Better than eating them..

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea but theyll say sorry

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tonight on CNN...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Totally thought that flight attendant was breastfeeding that baby at first

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

ONE OF US. ONE OF US...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They sent a ransom note: sorry.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

United: Hold my beer. *spikes baby*

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I was borderline choking up with tears at the end of this post and now I'm choking on laughter. I wish I could give you more +1s.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Shit, you have over a million reputation. I'm honored to be graced with a comment. ;)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For years I thought we could trade points for sexual favors so I went to a lot of effort to build up a nice stash for something big.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It doesn't work like that?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have been informed not. I dunno what to do with them now. They are merely an indicator of how much free time I have.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

Crying baby steals Canadian airline staff.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Build the wall.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

The wall just got 40000 feet higher

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And the Canucks are gonna pay for it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1) Westjet pretty much advertises that they are funny and nice. I've flown a few times. Always making jokes over the PA. Once a stewardess

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 2

For whatever reason, I've come to find that extra-cheery joke-making to feel really ingenuine and grating. But I'm also a cynic.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

I wouldn't doubt it. I'm a mid 30 cynical douche hahaha but I don't fly enough to think about it. I hate flying. Generally drugged up

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ketamine?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hahaha no, Ativan from a doctor.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude! Southwest after 5pm.....fucking hilarious.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

One time they announced while landing that all the toilets were stolen from the police station (pretty sure it was April 1st) . 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

2/2 Extra funny because there was a cop with a man that they were escorting also on that flight, and the both of them chuckled about it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wow. The cop and the inmate had a chuckle. I swear to God is Canada on even real?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2) started singing over it once.

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

I had one where it was the last flight of the day and the attendant couldn't get through the part where they say "service through to" /1

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

/2 She said cervix through to about 4 times before giving up.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Hahahah

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I haven't had one issue with Westjet, they're always better than Air Canada exactly because they don't feel like they're just forcing smiles

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I find Air Canada pretty decent too. Westjet the staff do seem a bit more chipper though

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Always had good experiences with Westjet. I'll miss flying them when I'm done my Canada assignment.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We get it, we get it, Canadians are literal angels, show offs >.>....I'm not jealous, you are jealous

9 years ago | Likes 879 Dislikes 10

They aren't though. If you've ever lived in a northern state, you'd know they're pushy entitled fuckers that suck at driving

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Am I relevant?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well of *course* they are. Fictional realms aren't bound by reality.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We are....and we love Americans. Angels always fall for the bad boys.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm not jealous, I'm Canadian :)

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Just the fact you asked. So polite.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it would be nice if we didn't brag about it though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You have no idea the power of being a short-fused Canadian jerk. No one sees it coming...

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Not all of them, Air Canada bumped a woman making her miss her $10,000 cruise to the Galapagos.

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

Air Canada is the literal devil.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Air Canada is garbage, weather really is amazing though. Every employee gets stocks within the company. Helps make them want to do well

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It a well keep Canadian secret, but Air Canada CEO is a Canadian Goose. Obviously all the hate and darkness of Canadian is channel there.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It all makes sense now!!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah don't take air Canada. they just want to eat your soul, poop it out, then sell the remains to the devil so he can enslave you.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Air Canada is a terrible airline. I've used them 3 times and had awful experiences each time. Westjet on the otherhand are superstars.

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Westjet is good now. They had a real big scandal about 8 or so years back

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been flying with them for like 14 or 15 years now and honestly i've never had an issue that hasn't been immediately resolved.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If Canada ever wanted to take over the world through war, they could probably win soley on the fact that no one expected it from them.

9 years ago | Likes 159 Dislikes 0

We're the brain on the body of North America. Just you wait. We're making the US out to be a crazed fighting machine only to unleash them

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

on the world! Woohoo!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No one expects the Canadian Inquisition!

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Hoser, there is no Canadian Inquisition.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

*Acquisition

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

GREED IS ETERNAL!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your on to us. We figure that with all the madness out there that people deserving kindness have a source. Free the sad people

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Well, phase one was to let everything go to literal shit, then phase two was to enslave using poutine and maple syrup, and then phase 3 /1

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

/2 which is making healthcare and all that shit better while calmly walking flying babies up and down aisles until the go to sleep.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And then Phase 4: Legalize all the weed.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably just kindly ask and people would be like "welllllll ok."

9 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 1

some of us would welcome with open arms. :p

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's how we got our independence from England.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I don't knooow Canada are you sure? Yes trust me. Ah okay fine

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Then you'll all be sorry!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Look up Robert Pickton. Canada is just really good at hiding it's skeletons.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I know people that went to his famous pig roasts. They invited neighbours and friends.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

or Paul Bernardo. Or Karla Homolka - she's a piece of work. Drugged her sister so her man could rape the girl. She participated. Not good

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is he like a serial killer or something? (I'm too lazy to look him up right now)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Killed 49, convicted of 6, bragged about how he only got caught because he was sloppy "damn, was hoping to hot the big five-oh number"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hit*

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus. That's a real psychopath right there

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With skin?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...um..... residential schools, missing & murdered indigenous women, racist RCMP officers in PQ.....

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Racist RCMP aren't just in Quebec... Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good point. I'm only personally acquainted with the ones in PQ if you get my meaning.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think I follow.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pig farmer serial killer dude? That's just the tip of the iceberg. It gets worse as you go east.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Examples? I'd love to one up my girl with something worse than pig farm serial killer from Canada.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you want to bring up (slightly more) historical examples, the FLQ, Residential Schools, and Governmental Eugenics program in Alberta.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The residential schools are probably one of the largest embarrassments of Canada

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

See: Pedophilia and the maritimes, Mafia in Quebec, egregiously low of conviction rates for sexual assaults in Nova Scotia, etc.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think he was Canada's worst. Even worse than Bernardo.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And here i am very picky on who i let even be around my children and canadians just give em away to strangers

9 years ago | Likes 182 Dislikes 13

The baby wasn't going anywhere

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well maybe you should stop being racist, Randy

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Well, they weren't strangers, they were Canadians.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

It's beautiful to see the community to take care of the pucklings. *Weeps tears of Canadian pride.*

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Ireland on a bus once this woman was having trouble calming her nephew and holding her baby, so I took him from her and he slept in 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My arms for about an hours ride. Made for a funny scene and some good craic! 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The whole "stranger danger" campaign started in America ruined an entire generation of children, that grew into fearful adults with children

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

well the baby wasn't at risk of being kidnapped ;)

9 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 0

Didn't that happen to Jodie foster in flight plan?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The amount of times I've watched strangers children in malls or parks is super high. Never once thought it was out of the ordinary.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

America is a bit...biased based in fact. More like terrified.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, they're on a plane, in flight. Where exactly could she have taken that baby?

9 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

Toilet. Those things have enough suction to crush a baby's skull and suck the entire thing in like a fat man slurping an oyster.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I like you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Microwave

9 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

Ah, yes, good one *scribbles down ideas*

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Thrown it out the door

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Doors can't be opened that high up. Too big pressure difference.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The pressure is lower outside than inside the plane up high like that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure, sure.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've got one for you! Impromptu game of bocci ball!?
