I sure hope all those policemen were getting paid for overtime

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just a reminder that the NYPD has a homicide clearance rate of 27% for which the taxpayer pays billions of dollars each year.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What is JTF? Isn't that Navy?

Why all the firepower? Do they think a vengeful mob of CEOs is going to try to assassinate him?

1 year ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I've heard they fear some people will try to rescue him.

Dude at the front right looks like Jake Peralta

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

“This is Death Blade, do you copy?”

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The guns are not to keep him inline, they are to protect the cops incase America tries to set him free.

My thoughts and prayers to the CEO's family.

This is cops and law enforcement showing off, in the UK the accused arrive in a plain prison truck to a secure part of the court where there's no photographers allowed.

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

My favorite part is Eric Adams tagging along. Getting practice for his own perp walk.

We... really *really* need a faster justice system.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, given some of the stuff ive seen people post, im not surprised theyed go all out like that to make sure no one tries to free him or something.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Will they find 12 jurors though?

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I am sure they will sift through and find 12 bootlickers, sadly.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a scene right out of the movie SWAT. That's all I'm saying. It's like he offered a million dollars to the first person to break him out of jail and they're expecting someone to come for him guns blazing.

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Lmfao

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The only one without a vest, because deep inside they know, he is the folk hero. Gonna be more of a revelation when they find not a single jury to condemn him.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

WTF is Eric Adams doing there?

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Working in his pardon

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably getting in some practice for the perp walk.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

His arrest proves that eating fast food is bad.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's intentional. If he's a supervillain he can do things ordinary people can't. They do it to reinforced ordinary people's feelings of powerlessness.

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Yup, pure copaganda. Like every reality show where the cops ALWAYS get the person by the end.... when in reality they solve a small portion of crimes.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

oh you're like some kind of Machiavellian smart guy

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I mean, half his username is a diabolical monster with a diehard fanbase shielding him from the consequences of years preying on children..

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

.....and the other is Elvis Presley.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Man, just imagine if they didn't have all those armed storm troopers, he might break free and go on a targeted CEO killing spree.

1 year ago | Likes 249 Dislikes 6

Overkill for sure.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Promise?

1 year ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

That's probably what they're concerned about. Unfortunately for them, Luigi has transcended mortality and become an idea like "V" in that we are him, he is us, and the idea is unstoppable.

They've gotten a taste of the fact that at any moment, society can just collectively say "no more" and they're doing EVERYTHING to maintain the illusion of control.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Oh, no….

One can but hope.

The dream

Oh lawd, think of the shareholders!

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They're next

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They ate there to protect themselves in case an armed mob tries to break him free

1 year ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Which is as likely to happen as the storming of Area 51. But they won’t leave it to chance.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I like how the one dude with him is carrying a bunch of bagels.

1 year ago | Likes 111 Dislikes 4

Isn't that a reference to some comedian who joked about Hollywood saying that there's so many people in this town with a gluten allergy, I could hold up a fucking bank with a bagle.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

gotta eat

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

His wife packed his lunch that day.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's not bagels it's poison mushrooms in case he runs

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Passing the bakery - "hang on lads, I need to pick something up"

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They might be donuts.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Luigi’s personal items that weren’t deemed evidence.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Yeah.thats what i figure it really is,but i a. Amused at the idea it is bagels.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If he runs he’ll throw one at him.

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Didn't Spider-man do that ? And in the next movie that guy turned into Universe level threat ? How bout you don't give anyone ideas.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

those aren't feds that's the militarized nypd

1 year ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

So distracted by a black guy waving an unauthorized donut at them.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's both notice the guy on the far left with the aviators and windbreaker jacket "FBI-NYPD JTF" (Joint Terror Task Force)

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

those guys are still nypd, they just work alongside the feds sometimes

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And assign a Terminator to protect him

1 year ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 3

Look over Luigi's other shoulder it's Mayor Adams standing behind him.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That how you REALLY know this was set up as a photo op

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Snipers Dream, that dude.

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

They all are. Especially that Andy Dick looking fucker in the chin strap next to Luigi.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, luigi is 5'7" so the same size as me, average joe will look like that, my bro is 5'11" and towers over me like this.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I was almost 6'2" with my work boots on and sometimes on the subway I'd be a whole head above everyone else, there would be another tall dude near me like "hey man, how's it going."

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"work boots"

....hmmm

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just an ordinary militarized cop.

1 year ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 4

Still too much of a coward to stop a school shooter.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What, and get his gear dirty?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea, mainly commenting on size / height difference

1 year ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

He will be back

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Strange use of the word "ordinary"

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Every American cop looks like they are in the middle of a SeAL team raid to kill Bin Laden...

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

This pomp and circumstance is brought to you by your tax dollars at work. Rest easy knowing that your CEOs, unlike your children, have a personal security detail in the form of the local constabulary.

1 year ago | Likes 1050 Dislikes 6

Rest easy is what Americans are good at, evidently, even when their country faces problems other populations wouldn't tolerate even a fraction of.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

The funny thing is that they are giving Luigi so much press for this that it almost ensures someone else will do it

1 year ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

What is that, five armed guards, two of whom are brandishing, and at least 2-3 other security detail as well? Then a whole entourage of press.

1 year ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 0

And a nyc mayor, showing himself off like he caught him

1 year ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

plus his security detail, that's all the plain clothes dudes in the back.

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Then there's the Terrorism charges.

They could have simply charged him with 1st degree murder, which still could keep him locked up for life under NY State Law.

By making it terrorism, they effectively assign an ideological Cause to his actions, which has to be defined.

So they are helping Luigi classify his beliefs by labelling them as an ideology.
They might as well publish a mission statement for CEO hunting at this point - "its called the Red White and Blue Army Faction"

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

RWBAF doesn't really run off the tongue, though. Needs a couple less letters...

Funny thing is all this is probably to keep people from freeing him, not to keep people from hurting him. Can't have that.

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I believe they admitted it was to prevent him from being freed by copycats.

If it had anything to do with his safety he'd be in a vest.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Perf comment. Ty

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but kids die all the time. Maybe if more CEOs died they'd get ignored the same? I think we should test the theory.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not so much a constabulary as more cunt than stable from what we've heard over here!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My favorite part is the jackets that say "FBI NYPD JTF" (presumably joint task force). Not weird that such a thing exists, but why do they need special team jackets???

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What, are they planning to 'Ruby' him & are setting up their 'Look how much protection we gave him!' alibi?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"It might look bad at first glance, but be honest: how much do your children really contribute to the national economy?" - UHG spokesperson

1 year ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

With the cost of child specific items being multiples of the adult version? My niece probably contributes more to the economy than my broke adult ass does.

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Children ARE the national economy. Japan, South Korea and others are desperately trying to get women to bonk and have kids because of falling populations that are going to have a massive impact on their economies.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I've heard that even China is starting to sweat over their falling birthrates. They spent a couple generations demonizing families with more than one child, ended up skewing the gender split of the entire planet toward male, and are slowly finding their young people have no more money than our young people do, and don't want to start families when they can't afford a home to raise them in either.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

China's problem was an "own goal" of ideology that "unfortunately" the ladies took to heart and shut up shop on the baby making equipment. Natural reaction from Xi and Co was to demand everyone started bonking to which the response to date has been... crickets. Young women all over the modern world have decided they want a career/education/travel before (if ever) making crotch goblins. Can't blame 'em.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

yeah, I don't know who's running the PR Dept for "the authorities" but you would have though ALL PR Depts would have learned something after Streisand's little fiasco. Images such as this are going to firmly embed Luigi into folklore.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Luigi shirts in the style of Che Guevara

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'll take 3.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Joker? Dam superman!

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Who tf is that behind him? If I didn't know fictional universes better, I'd swear that was Black Noir!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well we don't know a few theories, Ultraman (Earth 3 Evil Superman, probably a clone in this universe), Bizarro Superman maybe. We just ain't sure.
