WWDD?

Dolly is amazing! She sleeps for like 4-5 hours a night, starts working at like 3am every day. She’s a superhuman

She is wonderful... But it's awful that other people can hoard as much or more as she's got, and do nothing with it to help other people. The existence of rich people is a problem.

When you know real poverty growing up you don't forget. I'm an atheist but I wholeheartedly believe that Dolly is a saint who walks among us.

Dolly is a treasure and we should all appreciate her. It would be awfully nice though to have a system that works and doesn't depend on individual do gooders or kids go without.

How do we send this to Dolly? I'm certain she knows, but I want her to know that we know!!

Time to watch that Oriville episode again.

She enjoys to support educational music projects. A good example that not all rich are egoists

As one of the 10's of peoples on earth not from the US, Dolly is IMHO the best example of the storied American archetype. Dolly can so Dolly does...it"s not about her. It's the lack of braggadocio, her empathy, her understanding of the rising tide...etc. Sometimes my dudes, you guys be scary. Kinda hope your average folk have the Dolly mindset.
Stan over.

At our school it was Barry Manilow! Though I don't get the impression that was a standard thing, he was just a nice guy with money who read in the paper that all our instruments got stolen. Who happened to also be Barry Manilow!

Can't we just send her after the repubs? They can't touch her!

I love how she intentionally leans into both her sex appeal and her heart, while not invalidating either and being the bad-ass wonder she is. Fuck yeah, Dolly!

Whenever I start to lose all faith in humanity I make myself think of Dolly Parton.

I think Dolly Parton is the only example of a Good Billionaire - on the grounds that if she wasn't an unstoppably generous philanthropist who habitually uses huge amounts of her wealth to benefit others, she could almost certainly be a billionaire by now. Instead, though, she insists on helping others so she's never had that much at any one time.

She realized there is a limit to the amount of money she can use herself, and everything will be better if more people are happy.

So... can we just admit that the woman is a living Saint? Or do we have to wait for her to start walking on water?

Iv seen nothing but love and admiration for Parton so I think she's regarded as a Saint already

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

“I will always love you” catapulted her to sainthood already.

She's better than a saint. Her magic is real.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't know about walking on water, but she does have two floatation devices.

Id rather coin a new term, and not relate her to an organization responsible for so much hurt and strife in the world. I will just say she is a Doll.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

There's no need to coin a new term. The word you want is Philanthropist.

She's better than most saints.

Turned down the hightest civilian award three times

Because two of those offers came from Trump, Republicans took that personally and she is now discussed on Breitbart's comments boards as though she is some kind of traitor. The first time she turned it down was because her husband was ill and she didn't want to leave him, the second time was because of lockdown. None of this matters. She snubbed Trump and is now a communist traitor.

My love for her just went from a 10 to a 50.

Ackshyually, no one can become a saint until after they have passed.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Ackshyually, it's all made up and we can change the rules as we please.

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

Just like religion does. Cool!

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

But at the moment, the official rules say "no".

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I'm pretty sure she'd be buoyant anyway, although it might not be her feet that kept her afloat.

A joke she would even approve of...because she is awesome like that as well
