I think after this year, we could all need more of this in our lives.

Dec 28, 2025 8:41 PM

Haven't seen this in a long time here, but I know a lot of people are having a hard time right now. So if you can, spread a little kindness in your community even if it doesn't seem like much.

I gotta go, I got dust on my eyes.

They know how to make some gorgeous advertisements in Thailand. ❤️‍🔥

Looks like he got a dog out of the deal. That's companionship, and you can't put a price on that. Well, ok, maybe a piece of chicken a day, but that's a great deal for companionship.

This always cheers me up.

Thank you for reminding me.

I saw this all the way back in high school, and it's had an effect on how I've viewed life ever since.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The part that really got to me is when it shows he adopted the dog <3

The only thing that you need to do is ease the suffering of others, yourself included.

Someone cutting onions up in here….

I love this video clip.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Indeed!

This how proper tax usage can be anthropomorphized.

Better infrastructure for both the plant and food cart lady

Better access to education.

Better care for those that can fall between the cracks for the dog and granny.

Instead we get fuckwits that vote for mythical blood thristy bullshit and avaricious rapist shite bags.

Fuckin a i hate the way the world is basically a good folks meat grinder.

The plant thing made me wince. I'm sorry, I get what the video is trying to say, 100% agree, but as someone who's actually taken care of plants before that was WAY too much water, coming in WAY too fast. :D

A wise person once told me "whatever you feel you are lacking in your life, give that thing away"

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If I could cry I know I would be bawling. But my antidepressants are a bit strong this time of year to get me through the darkness, leaving me a bit flat. I'll come back and cry in the spring when my meds get a bit lighter. Thanks for sharing.

I haven't seen this in a few months. It shows up in my Facebook feed on occasion.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's not the big things you do, the massive donations, and whatnot, as valuable as those are. It's the little things, the small kindnesses, the little gestures. Those add up, and they really, seriously make other peoples' days. The system wants us divided, hateful, untrusting and afraid. Don't let them do that to you. Let someone else go first. Thank people. It matters.

Dont give dogs ccooked chicken bones. Or raw ones either.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This. My dog throws up every time she has managed to steal some. Other dogs may not be as lucky.

You just behave like you lived in the world you'd like to live in, a world where everyone did what they could to make it a bit better for everyone.

It's the opposite of greed. It's the opposite of hoarding. It's the opposite of selfishness.

People who are very wealthy monetarily usually don't have any real friends. Nobody they can count on when they really need emotional help.

3 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

When they do, generally they’re friends from before wealth

The best decision I ever made in my life was at 19 when I decided that I wanted to make choices that allow me to respect myself - whether anyone else sees, cares, or understands. Never going back. I feel like this one decision made me who I am now (pushing 40).

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Okay, the little girl running up in her school uniform broke me. I'm gonna go cry now.

3 months ago | Likes 359 Dislikes 1

Every time

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

See, this was my first time seeing this video. I read your comment first, i knew what was coming when first i saw her. and it still hit my like a freight train!

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Before this point it's like he's giving and giving... and it doesn't seem like there's any sign of difference, except for more taking of his giving. But that moment... wow. He has friends now. Even the ornery store guy scorning that generosity to the poor mom & daughter would probably go out of his way to help that guy if he needed help.

3 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

That's where I got got as well

3 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

As a dad, thats the kind of thing that obliterates me. Because I know what I work for most is her.

3 months ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

You're a good dad. ❤️

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Amen brother. I have two, and I know what you mean. My youngest is 16 today... Crazy how we would die 1,000 deaths to know they are gonna be ok.

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You're a good dad. ❤️

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Not to be a buzzkill, but hopefully he moved the plant and didn’t just leave it there. That’s too much water.

3 months ago | Likes 209 Dislikes 21

That was also my thought as well.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I kept thinking of Brawndo.
It’s got what plants crave.

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Considering the plant thrived, I don't think the drain was a 24/7 watering spout. My veggie garden gets rain runoff, and it thrives.

3 months ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

We literally see it come on as he walks under it, anybody actually watching the video can tell it isn't running 24/7. But this is the internet, so.

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Hopefully he picked the bones in that bit of chicken too cause those can fuck up a dog pretty bad

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Came to say this as well. Like I get the idea but the execution is counterintuitive.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The water very likely doesn't run continuously. If it did, the next time we see the plant, it would be dead for having super saturated soil. But it was fine. It's just occasional runoff.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Still, you aren't supposed to just soak the soil like that. If you have to, use the kind of pot with holes that let into a tray around the base. It'll drain the water, and retain enough for soil moisture.

In a plain pot, that water sits there a long time, and the roots can begin to rot.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh fer fuck's sake! Really? Too much water for the plant? That was your takeaway? Yeah, it was the first thing I thought. You can't pour it on that like a tap! You'll wash away all the soil you fool.

Where te fuk am I s'pose to put et? Ye fuking wank stain!

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He's a murderer and so are you. Plants Rights NOW! And btw life begins in the seed packet.

3 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 4

NO! I represent a group with a different opinion. Life begins when the stamen meets the pistil!

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not my takeaway. I get the sentiment of the video and appreciate it. I’m just being a smart ass about it lol.

3 months ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

I'm just fucking with you.

Y'all want the longform of this, I highly recommend My Name is Earl. It's not a perfect sitcom but the feelgood vibes are consistently fantastic and the messaging in the show is pretty top notch.

3 months ago | Likes 144 Dislikes 2

Yeah, I'd second that. Even the ones where he encounters things he doesn't understand... you see the character grow.

3 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

The messaging is scientology sadly

3 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 40

It is not. Greg Garcia isn't a Scientologist.
You're thinking of Jason Lee, the skaeboarder/actor. While the star of the show he was not responsible for its themes or messaging.

That said, if people want to support a show with a Scientologist on the cast, that's their right and I don't blame them.

3 months ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

"The Scientology-Earl connection begins with Earl himself - actor Jason Lee is a Scientologist, as is show creator Greg Garcia and Ethan Suplee who plays Earl's slow-reader brother Randy" - source the guardian

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 15

Weird, Greg himself has statedouright "I am not a scientologist"

https://www.gawkerarchives.com/5046326/greg-garcia-responds-to-baldwin-im-not-a-scientologist

3 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Hmm, checking dates, guardian article was 2007, gawker archive 2008. I'm old and only really remember the info from 06/07 around the time of the old "scientology raids" and what not. So that show was always "the scientology" show to me. I'm happy to stand corrected, esp since Jason Lee quit scientology and moved to where I (now) live and helped open a pretty good restaurant. Ty

3 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Also Jason Lee is no longer a sgist as of 2016

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I meant if people *don't* want to support a show with a Scientologist*

3 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

That's going to be most of what Hollywood produces, unfortunately. Scientology has deep roots in Hollywood. I doubt that most are even true believers, it's just a very exclusive club.

Unfortunatley so.

How many bananas is that poor old lady forced to eat?

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I was still sobbing from seeing the little girl run up in a school uniform, and your comment took me right out of it and turned it into a laugh. Thank you.

I thought of this as being his Monday outing or something? Its once a week

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

she lives in a math problem

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

A man brings an old lady 10 bananas for the week. How many bananas can she split to eat them all evenly throughout the week?

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is per day, sir.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In this economy? When a banana costs $10?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Old ladies need their potassium! Also, I think they're plantains.
