The video arguably conflates what "Democrat" politicians say their agenda is on paper with their actual track record after they get elected. Wars, assassinations, torture, military coups, mass surveillance expansion, subservience to banks, big corporations in general, and of course Israel. Here's the thing though - the Democrats won't do any of that. They had plenty of oppertunities to do so, going back to the 90s, if they wanted to. But what Trump wants to do is horrific. If someone says to me: The only reason you vote Democratic is because you hate Trump, I'm likely to respond: "You're right. It's not that I love the Democrats, it's that I'm voting against the guy who ran on being a dictator. Isn't that enough?"

You do know that it's not always as simple as "We want to do that. We did it". When you have an opposing party fighting you every step of the way and sometimes you have no control and they push it in the opposite direction, you've then gone backwards. That said, there are some shitty Dems.

Gonna be truthful with you: ACA was a giveaway to the health insurance companies, and was basically Romney's plan.
And sure, I guess if you want to go back to the *CARTER* administration, they did good things.
I'm not saying we shouldn't vote democrat because of purity tests, I'm saying that the Democrats won't improve our lives if elected, only that they'll not actively screw us over quite as fast. (Honestly, though, I think they're just a token opposition at this point and part of the GOP)

No one is actually "for" or "against" environmentalism in politics except the Green Party. The Democrats pretend to be for it but act against it whenever their corporate donors tell them to, and the Republicans just do the same thing without pretending to care in the first place. If half this video's talking points matter to you more than hating Trump, you should be voting Green, because the DNC has shown it doesn't actualy give a shit.
