734 reps and still going!

I’m not certain I could lift that, and I am literally twice her weight. Damned impressive.

Oh hey, I haven't seen your posts in a while.

Sick, I can't do twice my bodyweight let alone more! Huge stuff. Would like to see more control on the eccentric for working weights but considering I think you're PRing this is probably a moot addition to my comment

Oh this is not anywhere near a PR lol and control on the eccentric is good for bodybuilding sure but I train for powerlifting! I have double paused deadlifts to work on technique :)

Can someone help me with the maths. I can only tell 3 weights on each side. I can see all 3 in the front and 2 in the back with the expectation that the small plate is on the back end. Adding the plates together we have 25+20+5=50kg per side. So 50 x 2 = 100kg. Where is the extra 20 kg coming from?

The bar itself. The thick ones are usually 20g, and thinner ones weigh 15kg.

no, this thick one is 54kg

Truth

Yep, moderate-intense exercise produces dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, endocannabinoids, adrenaline, etc.

*And muscle mass increases metabolism, helps fight heart diseases, regulates 80% of your insule/glucose, helps cancer survivability and outcomes, increases healthy hormone production, supports your joints, increases bone density and helps improve your mind.

And as some who has trained in many sports for much of their life and was VERY active in the Texas punk rock scene dealing with literal AB and NN skinheads... Muscle mass also helps intimidate and fight nazis. Nazis very rarely run their mouth irl or online to someone who looks like they can kick their Nazi ass.

Feel like you might wanna try some shoes.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

You should try squats and DLs without shoes. A bit weird at first but I wouldn't go back to shoes now. And dropping weights on running shoes is barely different, in case anyone wants to claim safety.

I am away at the moment but want new deadlift slippers when home!

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Naw, socks are great for DLs. You want your feet as flat against the floor as you can get them. Any type of heel on a shoe makes you tip forward.

I always think this when I see folks lifting barefoot but then I think, what is a nike going to do for you if you drop that

120 kilograms = 264.6 lbs
54 kilograms = 119 lbs

54 kilograms = 8.5 stone
54 kilograms = 0.7 washing machines.
