That was totally on grays anatomy last night! Whaaaat
It's weird when your medical conditions show up on tv shows.
Do a post about how you found out, what you go through, etc?
Not enough story/symptoms atm to make a full post. I've always had probs with joints popping out of place, went to a genetics, and ta da.
I have Type 3, so I don't have some of the worst issues, but we have stretchy skin, easy bruising/slow healing, fatigue, lots of pain, etc.

Looks like Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, it's a connective tissue disorder that makes your joints super flexible

No, it affects the connective tissue in joints, doesn't affect ribs

Any downsides?

Most people dislocate joints many times a day. Arthritis is all but inevitable too.
Yeah, it affects your blood vessels as well and a lot of people die from aortic dissections (aorta disconnects from your heart)
Arconyte
As a guy with a fucked up aorta, this is my fear.
DahPrincess
I would think you might accidentally dislocate something from moderate physical activity. Just a theory though, don't quote me on this.
It's a collagen disorder so your joint are very flexible, doesn't lead to dislocation, just excess stretch, but lots of other concerns
oncomeme
I have EDS. I dislocate fingers on the Reg. Occasionally knee caps and shoulders. But my skin is also super stretchy but really soft too
