And then mum showed up during the test of the $4000 one, without any of the context, and for some reason she got mad.

i lol'd guess the kid can sit on the last one and drive around?

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Expected the last one to be “$52,000 F-250” and spit dirt all over the kid.

Growing up had a dog that loved doing this to us. It was so much fun. He was the best, and I miss him

Remember kids, the difference between Science and screwing around, is whether or not you take notes.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He was not ready for the 4k lol

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean... It's mostly about the weight and traction, though. If he can basically lift the entire RC car, it's impossible for it to pull him. Like, get one of those electric scooters with an adult standing on it and you'd drag that child through the dirt, even though it probably has the same/less power than even those mid-high end RC cars.

My first car cost less than $4k. Damn.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's price got to do with?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The angle of the rope gave the kid the biggest advantage. Follow me if you enjoy me ruining things.

.
As my Dad would say, there's no replacement for displacement

Except the turbo in my basement.

Density wins

You could probably get a used VW Beetle for $100, barely turns over, and launch that little bastard into the stratosphere.

3 months ago | Likes 139 Dislikes 2

Used beetle for $100? have you seen the prices on old beetles and vans? add a few zeroes....

I really wanted to see him fly across the screen in one second or less.

*GAS*

*YOINK*

To the sound of screams and two dislocated shoulders.

No thanks.

This looks like something I would have loved to try as a kid...tug of war with RC cars...yes, please.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Umm...pretty sure...the last one is just a lawn mower

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So you don't need a grey Toyota camry to kidnap a kid. Just a rope and a $4000 RC car

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think you could get a Camry for less than 4,000 so it's more about fiscal responsibility.

What's it like having money?

3 months ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Nice?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never had, but I heard it's pretty nice

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Honestly, pretty good, it takes a ton of stress out of your life, provided you don't have too much of it. I have enough that I am not stressed, but I still have to work for it. I would prefer to have enough that I could be creative and work only on what I wanted to do, but that's not in the cards, so I am thankful that I have what I have, that allows me if not a life of luxury, one of relative comfort.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

All those cards added up are still cheaper than the kid though.

3 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

That's why you put him to work in the fields, to give you an ROI.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

lol yeah, they shoulda put the cost of birthing + raising the kid over the kid's head.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

yeah haha that is exactly what I was thinking :D

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is the last one a modified lawn mower?

3 months ago | Likes 176 Dislikes 0

No, it's a child

3 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

I mean... technically it's both🤔

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So, an unmodified lawnmower.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

correct

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure it's modified. Looks a lot like a Mowrator S1.

3 months ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 0

That's exactly the type of name I'd expexted from a modifed lawnmower into an RC.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Totally modified it doesn't come with a tow strap

3 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Oh I was just hoping they didnt leave the blade on it.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Gotta give the kid some incentive

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You get better traction if you leave the blade in.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I just looked that up. As a long-term owner of a set-and-forget, fully autonomous robotic mower that costs less than half of the Mowrator and has saved me hundreds of hours of boredom: why would anybody want an R/C mower that still needs to be steered by its owner? It's as much a waste of time as a regular mower.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure they cover the same use case. The Mowrator can be fitted with a snow plow and can work unprepared, hard to access yards, go under trees and up dangerous slopes. There are many remote controlled mowers like it for landscapers. Robomowers are for continuous maintenance of already prepared lawns and require training.

What brand?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Husqvarna. Had it for over a decade and it’s still going splendidly. The new ones are even better.
