So... as soon as he's out, all of the congressfolk who have been propping him up will be targeted... It's in their best interest (if they want to keep their job, and stay out of prison) that they'll keep supporting him. It's fucked.

3 days ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

ANYONE propping Trump up will be facing the gallows. Exactly why they're so desperate to prop him up.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well, sure, yeah... and rightly so, burn them all. Mostly I was just pointing out that nobody is going to join AOC in trying to impeach him and properly remove him from office.

Remember: check the stock trading (oil) shortly before his announcement

No woman can win the electoral college IMO after 2016 & 2024. Swing voters are too stupid that they will always give a man the benefit of doubt. Always. The only way a woman could win the Presidency is if two women run against each other. The popular vote, yes, AOC could win that, but the popular vote doesn't get you squat. As long as we're living with a zombie Republic (it's currently undead) it is what it is.

4 days ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 7

As much as I hate it, I agree. I would rather see AOC in the Senate.

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Ammend Constitution to punish any Gov official who refuses to punish a Gov official who openly breaks the law.
Remove anyone who doesn't agree as theres no reason to not punish ANYONE who breaks law.

3 days ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Failure of government officials to punish corruption in the ranks should be considered treason insofar as it blatantly violates the interest of the people and nation. Hang the corrupt, regardless of degree, by the neck until dead.

If you thought Kalama polarized voters,
wait till you watch every rep vote against her, and all the establishment dems sit it out. It would be a complete disaster of a campaign.

4 days ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 44

Fuck you

4 days ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 13

I charge extra for that.

4 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

*Kamala

4 days ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

I visited a park called Kalama once and now my phone always defaults to that.

4 days ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I'm afraid you are quite correct.

4 days ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

I don't give a fuck. We keep lurching right every election cycle. The literal only way to actually course correct is to run people further to the left than Biden.

4 days ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

You could at least spell her name correctly

4 days ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

I don’t care enough to catch autocorrect every time.

4 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 12

Autocorrect for a name that isn't programmed in iOS or Android libraries does not exist. Try again.

4 days ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

As explained in another reply further up, I visited a park called Kalama once and now my phone defaults to that. Your anger seems misplaced and out of sorts.

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

I don't get angry at simpletons, sorry. Apparently, you take enough time to explain to everyone about your trip to Kalama, and could have easily just used less letters to spell it correctly, but refuse to spell it right.
Just another person I am glad I don't ever have to associate with.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Alas - it would, yet again, galvanize the white male racist voters in America. Motivating them to vote their misogynistic racist hearts.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

AOC needs to become Speaker of the House, and we'd be one freak event from her becoming President. :-)

3 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You obviously did not learn anything from Kamela Harris and Hillary Clinton. AOC for president means a guaranteed win for *ANY* Republican.

3 days ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 18

Agreed. Centrist, well like Dems have a chance. Dems that talk about jobs, jobs, jobs, low fuel bills, immigration control, and a return to dignity in the government will win. Andy Beshear.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Yup - it’s sad - but it’s true.

3 days ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

Obama won because of the national disgust for Bush. I don't think he would have won in a more "normal" election. I think AOC could pull the win because Trump is so hated and people are hungry for change.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's a risk, so I wouldn't take it, not now as the stakes are too high. She's young she has time she can take it next time.
However, there's an argument to be made that it is the perfect moment for her as everything is up and down and there's a possibility of a gigantic backlash on the rep side that would push the indep to vote for any dem.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

They lost because they were dogshit shit with no vision.

Ironically, YOU are being sexist for lumping in AOC with them.

What happens when Tulsi Gabbard is the 2028 GOP nominee? lmao

Dems will run a white man who is a border hawk, pro-war, anti-trans, pro-corperate money, pro-israel etc.

How is that ANY different than a common Republican?

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Well said

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nah, Harris & Clinton weren't nearly as beloved (if they even were at all?) as Ocasio-Cortez is. Even for those who voted for Harris and Clinton, myself included, there was a lot to dislike. They were "the lesser of two evils". On the other hand, AOC is so well liked that posts like OP's calling for her to run are pretty common. She's got the same sort of appeal that Mamdani has, where regular people who are otherwise feeling let down by politics as usual are perking up.

3 days ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

AOC is well-liked among the people who like her. Those aren't the people who will get her elected. She has to inspire confidence in swing voters and Republicans on the fence and she does not do that.

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

She does

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You should talk to more Republicans. She has race, gender, and drive all working against her. She has way too many things they can latch onto and hate because they don't want her to win. I once gave a tech demo to an older white machinist who had a wall full of B&W printed out Hillary hate memes. It was insane. People like that *might* vote for Biden as the less evil of two old white rich men. But never for AOC.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure, bigots exist, but Clinton already won the popular vote. Other types of voters who don't trust politicians as a rule, both left wing & right wing, like AOC. So many voters just tune out until they hear about a non-establishment candidate.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hillary supported a genocide in Yemen and was clearly a status-quo Dem (who cheated to win the nomination). Kamala never publicly denounced the genocide in Palestine and was clearly a status-quo Dem (who should've gone though a nomination). I think we're seeing a lot of truly progressive candidates win in the face of a lot of neoliberal dem fails. If AOC wins the Democratic primary, I see no reason she couldn't win the nation.

3 days ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I bet Americans who voted for Trump and put him in office twice didn't care about any of that, as truthful as it might be.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't think the ones who voted for Trump cared about that, but I think a lot of independents and Democrats did. They either stayed home or voted 3rd party. There's a reason nobody's releasing the postmortem of the Kamala campaign and I'd put money on it being because the thing that held her back is a pillar of the establishment Dems. We can't say anything for certain, but I'd love to see a Dem candidate who's actually popular among Dems instead of a Dem chasing Republican votes.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This. Hillary was a warmongering POS and Harris "I wouldn't change anything" endorsed by Dick Cheney are a far cry from AOC. That said, the DNC has established a legal privilege to rig the primary - Newsome or Bust. They'll still manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Middle American swing voters will vote for jobs, fuel, and immigration control, and a universally like person who has integrity, honor, dignity, and who also wants jobs, immigration control, etc. this could be either Dem or Repub, but it will never be AOC.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 11

All of which they voted against in 2024. So no.

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Dafuq you squaking about? Integrity, honor, dignity? DIGNITY? This country voted for a convicted felon, rapist, pedophile, crook, pervert, not once, TWICE. If we had a real election, ranked choice voting, no private money funds or super PACs, AOC would win big. Or are you auggesting AOC is none of thise things?

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Nope. She will not win.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

she would be a terrible choice for president, dem leadership would kneecap her so hard. She needs to run for house or senate leadership and control the party from there.

4 days ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 29

she would be more effective in congress, dem leadership would sabotage her.

4 days ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

I love AOC (one of the few US politicians I can stand), I'd love to see her as POTUS, but "wargames" isn't wrong. An AOC POTUS with an establishment Dem Senate/House wouldn't be much better than any Dem POTUS with a GOP controlled Senate/House, and we've seen how that goes. https://truthout.org/articles/mcconnell-says-gops-only-priority-is-to-block-biden-administration/

If you want a progressive POTUS, you need a progressive house/senate to support them.

4 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

Not with bot/assholes like you all over the Internet telling everyone what a bad idea it is, betcha supported fetterman too didn't you. Fuck all the corrupt politicians.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 12

Aren't we all so glad we got this instead of Kamala Harris? She was pro-Israel. That would've been so much worse than autocracy, genocide, and nuclear war.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

North Korea will literally have a female leader long before America is ever going to vote for a woman for president.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

There is no agreement of a ceasefire. Its just Trump trying to magic one into existence and Iran exploiting this to humiliate USA. The war continues.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Democrats are also making bank. Not all, but enough.

Honestly feel like they are just Republicans in disguise that play the game just right.

3 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The Republican Party is alt-right. The Democratic Party goes from regular right to kinda sorta left. There is no actual left-wing party in America.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You vote for the least fascist party. And then you start voting for the least fascist Democrats. If you do it right, eventually (in about 40 years) you just might, maybe have a left-leaning government.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You feel that way because most of them are. You saw it during the state of the union. You had a few doing this counter-event, those were the good ones. All the rest attended the speech and did the absolute minimum of token resistance possible, these are your republican-lights.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A whole bunch of Democrats are basically conservatives who don't hate all non-cis-straight white Christian males.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Every day, a man walked out of his factory job with a wheelbarrow full of wood shavings. I'm stealing the shavings he would say on his way out, and they would let him go every time. After 30 years, they finally figured out he wasn't stealing the shavings. He was stealing the wheelbarrows. Come on Charlie Brown, I'll hold the football, and you kick it. And Charlie always tries.

AOC for President 2028

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Don’t bother impeaching, straight to casket.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

no - she needs a senate seat.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nah, I want her on the Supreme Court.

4 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Nah, she belongs in the legislative/executive branches. Crockett would be a much better judicial pick.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She isn’t qualified…. But Anita Hill is!! Biden missed a GREAT opportunity there.

You're acting like McConnell would have let Biden get anyone in.

Considering that she doesn't have a law degree, that seems highly unlikely.

AOC will be age 39 on election day 2028. Would be the youngest prez in history if elected.

4 days ago | Likes 294 Dislikes 9

Although I'd vote for her, I still think she is unelectable. A young, smart progressive woman of color would draw every Maga out of the woodwork to vote for trump or Vance.

3 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

You people after voting the first black American president in history had an anaphylactic shock and felt the urgency to vote twice for a dictator, having just a break with a standard far-right American democratic that made the shock so strong you decided WWIII IS BETTER THAN HAVING A WOMAN PRESIDENT.

I will never believe AOC will be president.

She totally should, but I don’t trust any of you Americans anymore.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thats... fair. Americans are fucking stupid. And we deserve what's happening to us. The rest of the world doesn't.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you really think a woman can become the next president in the usa ?

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She could possibly become the youngest person ever to lose the Democratic primary. There's no chance in hell Dems are gonna let her run for prez, she's way too radical and too far left for them. Unless 80% of the party either die or join the GOP or something.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Shes not radical anything, they're just collaborating corporate stooges

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I’d vote for her. She is a little young for it. I’d like to see her become governor of NY first. Just to have more executive experience. Besides more people have been elected president from governorships than from the legislative branch.

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

She's the perfect age for it you cretin. You're just used to being owned by fking fossils.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Primary Schumer out of his seat is her best play right now as far as her next steps in her political career. Aiming for the presidency is too far, given how Harris flopped with certain voters - she would be better served eliminating gerontocracy and corpocracy from the party first by making them irrelevant.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If AOC doesnt become president then it will be a century before America would be even remotely trusted but even with AOC it will still take decades

1 day ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds like a correct age for a President. Not when they have one foot on the grave, and will probably not live to see the consequences of their actions.

4 days ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 22

The establishment dems are definitely dumb enough to run a women again. So enjoy trump 2028 I guess

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Not with that attitude. In a current state of seemingly endless pessimism a little optimism is just as meaningful as a glass of water to the thirsty.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Personally, I'd rather see AOC nuke Schumer out of the Democrat Party. The only way a Democratic president is going to unfock this mess is by starting with the gerontocrats and corpocrats in the Democrat party by getting those cunts out of the party.

After destroying Schumer and his ilk, AOC might actually stand a chance at the Presidency in a later term (after we've unfucked the racist and sexist shit that's been getting worse under the GOP).

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure. And New York will never elect a socialist Muslim

3 days ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

He prob needed alot less moderates, and people who commonly vote red, to vote for him than she will need to pull.
Tho ya id vote for her! maybe she can run with Shane faine from UAW (forget how his names spelled)

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

By definition, he was elected by moderates.

New York is one of the largest, wealthiest cities in the world. You can’t dismiss a majority population as fringe.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My point isn't that it's finge but that it's further to the left. LESS of the people who don't always vote blue needed to vote for him there than they would in Ohio. AoC could win NY alot easier than Arizona. The right lives off propaganda and hatred and they have been stocking the hatred of AOC for years so not only do they have more ammo but for many fox viewers the battles long since won. They already hate her and won't ever change that.
These people are very selfish.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"We" are not too sexist. The white men holding most of the power are

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

She's already hated by the right, so enough independents will have been poisoned by *checks notes* her college promo video where she *checks again* danced.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

+1 but I would happily accept being proven wrong. I just see too many weak dudes around and there's nothing weaker than not believing on women.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm so fucking tired of this horseshit.

Both Hillary and Kamala won, your shitty system and decades of rigging the system in favour of republicans is why they weren't given the office.

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Hilary won the popular vote. Kamala did not.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So, you're just going to pretend that the systemic advantages baked into the system to benefit republicans don't exist? That they didn't have to kick millions of people off of voter rolls and make voting as difficult as possible to win?

Republicans have seized power, they have not won it.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We'd never elect a black person. We're too racist for that. And yet...

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The DNC will never let her get the nomination anyway

4 days ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 7

The DNC doesn’t get a say in who the voters pick.

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Hahahahahahahahahahaha... Funny

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I’m sure you have your little conspiracy theories, but the truth is that there’s never been a Democrat candidate who won a primary without the popular vote.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They might not have the say, but they have a tons of influence.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure. That influence doesn’t count for much if voters show up though. Just ask NYC.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not the reason. AIPAC would never allow it. They really run the candidates.

4 days ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

She has enough charisma to run as an independent

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, both are true; AIPAC's influence would keep the DNC from supporting her.

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Actually- we kinda did- twice! Voter suppression & Russian interference in ‘16 & ‘24 has a ton of anomalies not to mention voter suppression & Musk interference. The reason the turd lost in ‘20 was the pandemic largely kept a lot of the cheating tactics at bay because of vote by mail- that’s why he’s so desperate to make it illegal.

4 days ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 6

100% this

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

2016 and 2020 should have been total obliteration for Trump, monster landslide, no matter the cheating.

3 days ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

It should have been. But a lot of people stayed home, and a substantial number who did vote were too pure to vote for a Democrat so they picked a gorilla or Jill Stein or whatever.

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Clinton won the popular vote over Trump by a couple million. You don't even need to account for voter suppression and interference. It's just by design of the system that what most people vote for is not necessarily what wins.

3 days ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

That’s the argument to getting rid of the Electoral College.

3 days ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Wasn’t it the electoral college that allowed trump to win in 16? Insane

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

One person one vote. The electroral college is a slavery relic that should have gone in the bin

3 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I can get behind her, she seems to actually care, even if she's not perfect, she would actually fight for the American people and not corporations, which, at this point, is all we can ask for.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

There is zero reason to believe AOC would do any better than Harris. Racism and Sexism are seemingly baked into the DNA of your country, while you may be able to win against one of the two like Obama did I see no chance you win against both. If you want a female president she'll almost certain have to be a white women to stand any amount of chance. Running a non-white female would be handing the Reds a win on a silver platter.

3 days ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 16

AOC is one of a few left-wing politicians everyone else right or far right even Biden and Kamala are centre right.

1 day ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get what you're saying about racism and sexism, and you're not wrong...

... But Harris was an establishment Democrat, and center right. AOC is an actual progressive. There is very good reason to think that they'd perform differently.

3 days ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah. AOC will have far more people actively smearing her campaign and will likely bring even more conservatives to vote for the GOP candidate than who showed up for Trump.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There's plenty of reason: AOC and Harris are not the same. Do you think all women are the same, or all women of color? Do you think gender and race are the only important aspects for a candidate? Harris was a shit candidate who supported Israel, while AOC does not. Why can't we have good people in office? I think the US is desperate for change, and AOC would actually do it.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I think to a good deal of Americans they are the same yes. A female person of color is going to be at a large disadvantage in a presidential race no matter how good a candidate they are because racism and sexism run deep in the US.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That doesn't make it okay.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, but OP is painting racism as a uniquely American problem.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are lots of reasons, up to and including that she isn't an establishment candidate, didn't help facilitate a genocide, and actually stands for specific things that people know that she stands for.

3 days ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

The anti-Trump rage will likely be such that a toothbrush could run as a Democrat and win the presidency, so this would be the the ultimate test. If any woman gets the Democratic nomination and loses a legitimate election in 2028 than we can say America will definitely NEVER elect a woman as President.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A toothbrush would keep our teeth clean AND not support genocide. TOOTHBRUSH/MOUTHWASH 2028

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those are reasons why progressives will vote for her. Now explain why centrists will vote for her.

That is the problem DNC faces. Their potential voters are too fractioned and too stubborn. progressives will ONLY vote for a progressive candidate and centrists refuse to vote for a progressive candidate.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

If the people who told us to vote blue no matter who don't practice what they preach when it's their turn to have a nominee they didn't want, they can go fuck themselves.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How fractioned and stubborn.

It's almost poetic that this is what ends humanity. We finish as we started.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The DNC will never let it happen. She'll probably run for Schumer's seat in the Senate, and I'd love to see that 'cause fuck that complicit-ass traitor.. The party pick will be Newsom or Kelly if they're smart, Harris if they're not, and Buttigieg as the VP.

Personally, I think the fascists have put too much work into rigging the system to lose - especially against a party that seems hell-bent on answering Republican cheating with playing by the rules even harder.

4 days ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 7

Then SURPRISE them!!

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If the fascists have rigged the system and cheat, then why are Democrats overwhelmingly winning special election after special election?

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Non-American here. Newsom is not a smart pick. Wake up, sheeple.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If we get Newsom I will not care about this country anymore, because nothing will get better. He's owned by billionaires and nothing will change, I don't give a fuck anymore, if they don't want my vote as a progressive then they won't be getting it. I'd rather this bitch burn then keep the status quo.

3 days ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Cont. If I'm wrong, however, and there is still somehow a chance for a free and fair election, the DNC will throw the most conservative Democrat they can find at it... and clutch the hell out of their pearls when that someone doesn't work again.

4 days ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 2

Biden Administration was the most progressive in US history. They made fucking miracles happen with a tied senate. They got Joe Manchin to vote for the biggest environmental bill in world history and Republicans to vote for student debt relief. And progressives still didn't vote in 2024.

So you can fuck right off with that argument now. DNC tried listening to you and the result was that Trump didn't just win, he won the popular vote by more than 2 million.

3 days ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

How much better would it have been if they had chosen a younger, healthy candidate who could have withstood two terms?

Pritzker would be a better, saner bet over Newsom, and Kelly is still somewhat conservative, so I wouldn't trust his ass unless he can prove that he will burn the entire GOP to the ground, prosecute the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society, and hunt down every single fucking traitor to the Constitution.

Newsom is just a disgusting opportunist who knows his way around the PR machine, but his true agenda is decidedly NOT Democratic or Progressive in ANY way, shape, or form.

The primaries are soon. Convention for local is this Saturday where I am. You want progressive policies? Vote for progressives in the party elections. We get people to fucking show up for those, we can take the party back from the corpotrash.

Vote anyway, because Republicans are counting on you to give up.

I’ll vote anyways but the only way out of this is violence.
