I'm all for getting rid of Trump, but anything with Nader's name on it should go in the trash. This selfish SOB cost Gore the 2000 election.

Ah ha ha ha, going for a trifecta. Good luck. What a load of shit. Get the guns.

It’s a waste of time right now and probably doesn’t provide any advantage in the coming fall campaign.

Let’s wait until we have a reasonable chance at it.

I would LOVE it if this happened. But look at the US's track record. Nixon? Pardoned. Bush? Not even tried. Ronnie/Nancy? Also not even tried. The country has a HORRIBLE history of not holding their leaders accountable for basically anything. FFS, Trump was impeached multiple times and convicted of FEDERAL crimes yet he was still able to run for president.

Why is Ralph Nader's name on this? Can the current Congress not draft articles of impeachment wtithout referencing him?

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ralph Nader? Really? Wow

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That needs to be done to whole cabinet, not just Donnie.

Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution states: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

When Republicans control Congress this will never happen with Trump's cabinet.

13 offenses
For the love of any god that might exist let at least one of these stick

Check Mitch McConnell's mouth and see if Donald Trump's little mushroom is stuck in there

Not with a republican majority.
67 votes needed to convict. Even if democrats wipe the floor with republicans in the midterms, getting to 67 is still highly fucking unlikely until a bunch of republicans grow a spine and some morals...

Wasn't he impeached like twice already? What I'm getting at is: Can't they put forward something referencing past impeachments as reasons to actually remove him from power? Because an impeachment by itself apparently does nothing.

The House impeaches, and has done so twice to Trump. An Impeachment is basically a statement of "this person has committed acts that render then unfit for office". The Senate decides the punishment, and both times so far has said "who cares" because R's have enough control there. Think of it as the jury coming back with a guilty verdict but the judge deciding the punishment will be waived.

An impeachment, like an indictment, is only the official accusation. While he has been impeached (accused), since they did not convict him, it's as if the offenses did not happen. From a legal standpoint, if you tried to reference the prior impeachments, it would weaken your case, because you're showing that he was previously accused but not found guilty.

Retroactive abortion or one of those post-birth abortions he's been crowing about.

Bury, but not on one of the golf courses for tax reasons.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meh, I'd love having him imprisoned, fully aware he'll never have any power and will eventually die in there without any friends. On the other hand, that bears the risk of him somehow coming back...

Piss on, at any stage

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They'd have to give him the "Osama Bin Laden" treatment, and specifically leave his "resting place" unmarked.

Last thing we want is that motherfucker's grave becoming some fucked-up worshipping grounds for more psychotics to group up at.

Why bury?... it'll just take longer for all the urine to reach down there.

3 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yea, it's the Mussolini treatment or I won't be fully satisfied.

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Let's try bury 1st for a switcheroo. He needs some horror in his life.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, not bury. He needs the Mussolini treatment.

Convict, Imprison, Burn.

Yes, but getting him and his dirty diapers out of the White House has to come first.

You want this to happen? Make sure to vote for Democrats in the midterms

3 days ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 1

In the US Senate, 7 GOP senators are retiring. All 7 are in red states where their replacements are unlikely to lose. The remaining GOP senators up for re-election are all in red states and unlikely to lose. I expect virtually nothing to change in the Senate. I'm guessing there might be a 1-2 seat shift in either direction. I expect the GOP to hold their majority in the Senate, rendering any articles of impeachment largely performative.

Don't just wait for mid-terms, make sure you vote every chance you get, get involved in primaries or run for office yourself.

3 days ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

This, the left needs to get off their collective asses and show up across all levels of voting, not just the primary. From here forward.

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The Democrats failed at impeaching him already. Dont blindly vote for anyone and do research on those who you agree with. Vet your candidates.

3 days ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

I don't disagree with your conclusion, always research your candidates, but acting like they failed to impeach for any other reason that "voters didn't fucking show up in 2024" is dumb. They didn't fail, they don't have enough votes to succeed but gave it their best attempt, multiple times.
