As a kid, we had a forest at the end of the block that we ran around in all the time. At one point, someone dumped these large round 1/?
2/? styrofoam disc things near the edge, just deep enough to ride in like a boat, and thick enough to hold our weight. There was a river
3/? running through the woods and sure enough, we climbed in one and floated off downstream, with no idea where we were going and only some
4/? sticks to poke at the bottom to try to steer with. Yes, we almost got swept away, but it was fun as hell.
