And things like this are why one of my friends starts his firearm safety course on nerf guns, followed by air pistols and rifles...
That and he can do them in almost any room safely for the first class in the city before bothering going to the range with actual firearms. He has been kind of surprised at the number of people who have taken up air gun target shooting because of it.
