Can't wait until this PoS is in the ground. Well, we can wait like 3 years so Dump ass doesn't get to pick his replacement.

Clarence Thomas is so nonsensical to me. He's a constitutional originalist, which ostensibly means he fundamentally disagrees with the validity of his own rights. IIRC he's anti-affirmative action, too, which... complicated topic that may be, opens the possibility he doesn't disagree with anti-Black discrimination. He feels like such a real world Uncle Ruckus, I half expect him to say he has "re-vitiligo". It's tough enough for my POC neighbors to thrive in this country, and he's betraying them.

He literally has said he thinks the country need to re-evaluate the legality of interracial marriage.

While being in an interracial marriage.

He's entirely sold out anything involving race for a comfortable position doing what the billionaires that own him say.

One of the ChristoFascists.

I don't think so. Roberts and the others are, to be sure, I think Thoma$ is just a miserable piece of shit that wants to get paid and cozying up to white supremacist billionaires gets him that money.

You know, I can’t even blame him. He is absolutely a POS but he was brought up in a very bad time. Like money would not turn someone in his situation? I can have empathy and disdain simultaneously apparently. But as a SC judge? Don’t be corrupted.

He is irrevocably tainted by his wife's QAnon "Stop the Steal" bullshit, though.

I realize that the tariff funds (if ever clawed out of the Trump grifty claws) are set to go back to the corporations who "paid" them. But I wonder if there's a GIGANTIC class action suit that could be mounted by all the people showing their receipts for tariff charges on the products they purchased and disclosures from corporations showing how much they passed through. Sure, the lawyers would win, but ripping that money from the billionaires and regime would be FUN.

A lot of companies paid the tariffs themselves. Hard to show an individual did so. Maybe the companies would be gracious enough to lower prices for a bit. But unlikely.

There was a time when invoices and receipts clearly showed the tariff charge. That alone should be evidence enough for a refund.

Yeah I absolutely ordered products from abroad that clearly listed a tariff surcharge last July

My take is that the 6/9th of SCrOTUS that are wholly owned by a few billionaires make their decisions based on the priorities of their owners, not any particular support for the current regime. When their owners' interests coincide with the regime, the regime is "supported", when they do not, "Trump is decided against." Fact is, most of these billionaires' interests coincide frequently with the regime. This last decision just returns a fuck-ton of money to them eventually, maybe. (not us)

6/9 = 2/3

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are many easy solutions to that problem but most of them involve violence

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I believe we will end up there. State NGs against state NGs and federal military. We've already seen MUCH more violence against politicians than we ever have by numbers. That will get worse from all sides. IND & DEM against REP, REP against DEMs, REP againgst REP. More people WILL die. Many of us hope that is concentrated on a very particular list.
