Ehhh, yes and no. There's a difference between being shot in the head, passing away in your sleep, and being trapped under rubble as you slowly feel fire encroaching feet first. I used to be a funeral director and the people I embalmed who went in their sleep looked infinitely more peaceful than the dude I had on my table who burnt to death in a car fire. Could barely make out his face, but could make out that it was contorted in agony.

But I also hit a light pole once while biking,
and the empty blackout that I experienced was probably as close to death as I've come so far. It's just a big nothing. I'm afraid that's what awaits us all. Good or bad. No matter how you get there.
