#17 - I used to live near a wildlife place that had tigers. You could get within a few feet of their fence / enclosure. If you got there when the place opened they were very laid back. They'd come up to the fence if you made the right cat noises. They'd rub on the fence, "purr", just be big kitty cats.

Once day we were there early and a couple of women showed up with toddlers. As soon as they saw them it was like a switch flipped. Right from "docile cat" to "hunting prey".

My husband immediately picked her up and speed walked past the enclosure like a granny passing her rival at the mall. Creeps me out just thinking about how laser focused that big ass cat was looking at my kid.

Nah, just ambush predators being ambush predators.

Turning your back on them triggers an innate reaction in them to hunt. You are basically giving them a giant green light to attack. They are just acting on their instincts.

Unless you mean mad that they can't reach their prey, then yea, they bigly mad.
