Turns out checks and balances are a good thing. If Republicans hadn't been so opposed to holding the criminal in chief accountable, we wouldn't be here. You know, because one of the downsides of letting an idiot like Trump do whatever he wants is that he may do something that he can't get us out of. Like starting a war that will spiral the world economy into a recession at BEST (assuming we get the strait functioning again anytime soon which seems unlikely).

Funny thing is that the Nato has integrated naval forces for decades now. Without the help of Nato allies the US Navy is probably actually lacking in key capabilities to handle this situation as allied ships took over those responsibilities in the recent past.

I could easily see both Hegseth and Gabbard getting the same treatment as Noem by being shuffled off to nowhere positions. Both have become liabilities to Trump rather than any form of assets.
