#5 Hippos can and will eat meat when the opportunity is given. They just dont actively hunt for their dinner. But like most herbivores, they'll chomp on meat if they find a carcass that is easy to take a nibble from.

#7 When a society is in desperate need of change, this should be the thing to keep in mind. Societies can only be radically changed if you embrace the uncertainty this brings.

#17 works for me, I thought about being single pretty hated by the time year 15 rolled around that the divorce was finalized just short, by 4 days, of what would have been the 21 year. Two days before my birthday. It was great.

#5 our ancient ancestors killed off a lot of mega fauna on a lot of continents that was less aggressive to us. Hippos were just too much trouble for the meat inside for early humans to bother to hunt but not enough trouble to wipe out like predators.

Have you ever seen a hippo chase a boat for a mile down the river? Clearly not in its territory anymore. That hippo had a grudge.

#9 Geese do the same thing. I swear, I never really understood how good a hug could be until one of our geese decided I was his person & would hug me like that. Sure, he was an asshole but, dang, those hugs made it worthwhile.
