Once a month or so I have a recurring dream of sitting down and talking with an old friend who I haven’t seen in years, and then I always wake up from it

I hate when my dream life is WAY better than my real life. I feel like Jerry in Rick & Morty’s simulation episode: “Finally, I am complete,” and it ends. Wake up and bam; the house is gone, the husband is gone, the kids are gone, the pets are gone, the financial security disappeared, and I’m there lying alone in a sad room.

An odd side effect of my meds are nightmares. Hellish nightmares of crystal-clear quality you could turn into horror movies and get rich. I've gotten used to it and forget them immediately. Still not as bad as your kind of situation...

They killed a good chunk of my family too, including a grandfather I never got to meet. Reality is Queen Victoria has a higher body count than Stalin and Mao combined, and what came after wasn't much friendlier either. But it's like poor Bobby said, right?
