Grok is probably the most incompetent thing I've seen in that capacity. At this point it seems like 90% of the questions its asked it just blatantly gets wrong. Doesn't matter if you're asking it a movie scene, history, anything, it's just constantly giving blatantly wrong answers. You're better off asking 4chan.
Grok can't be trusted (I mean, even less than other LLMs which are already not to be trusted) because Musk actively tries to tinker with it so it parrots its views. It's like having an LLM from a flat earther who keeps tinkering with it so that it parrots 'facts' about why flat earth is real.
It's not incompetent as much as deliberately sabotaged in this case. It used to give a different, more relevant result but then Elon had engineers make Grok more conservative and worship Elon.
I think that's the point, honestly having a garbage fire Ai is a silver lining because anyone arguing that Ai is infallible can be easily confronted with mecha hitler.
