Tonight the Justice Department released FBI interview summaries it had been accused of suppressing from the Epstein files. A woman told federal agents four times that the president sexually assaulted her when she was a child. She brought an attorney to three of those interviews. After the second, she described threatening phone calls and cars trying to run her off the road. She was brave enough to sit down with the FBI two more times.

CNN and NPR independently discovered that the three interviews where she named Trump had been excluded from the archive, and the government's explanation for why has not held up under scrutiny.

Ok, this week has officially been too long. I looked at my watch to see how long I needed to wait.

Numbers don't seem to matter anymore. Fines are less than Fraud and they won't be paid, Lawyers are the only US Growth Industry, and they're probably using AI as they are the only Industry that can afford to make use of it.

When you get into Trillion Dollars of Debt and still spend Billions on Unsanctioned Wars, You really aren't counting anymore are you? So why should The Rest Of The World take your Trade seriously?

Thanks. It's important. Someone here showed an early govbrief this week, and I went back to read the first few. How quaint we were clutching our pearls just a year ago.

To be fair, most of us were experiencing a fear of dread. That's why this started. But the things that outraged me a year ago barely cause anything more than a sigh these days. And that's dangerous.

It's a technique they're using, called 'flooding the zone'. It's easier to hide behind 50 atrocities than just one.

Considering they had no problem with DHS parodying their IP to talk about rounding people up, I find little amusement in this being their line in the sand.

They treat IP Law as a joke. Look at all the songs they use without permission. "So sue us, see where that gets you. after we tangle you in Counter suits and continuances and appeals and such like." The Department of Litigation/Justice fights by attrition, they can outspend you. and if you look like winning, they will sue your Lawyers.

It would be funny if it wasn't indicative of the fact that they LIKE hearing everyone complain into their phones and AND that the US believes there's no more reason to give a fk about IP law, which could be telling us several things, like there's a scientific reason no one should care about IP law at all anymore (ie everyone will be dead in the 10+ years it would take to get through the courts or we're already on a crash course with an asteroid etc)

The people currently running US government give no fucks about IP law because they will never be held accountable for it. Either they get away with everything, or they are going to be punished for so, so much worse and their successors give government money to the IP owners they violated.

They don't ask permission to use songs because they can stall any law suits long enough to exhaust even the richest estates or producers. The Department of Litigation is as much to do with Justice as the Department of War is to do with Defense.

Look at all the songs they use without permission and also without any clue as to what they actually mean.

GOP treats IP much like China does. They blatantly break the Law and then say "Sue Us, See who has more Money for Lawyers," Worst Case Scenario, they pay a Fine or settle for less than it would have cost to bought the rights. Because the IP Owners would never have sold the rights on principle but can't afford to fight the Department of Litigation/Justice.

Especially by making the USPS budget have to include the pensions of people who won't retire for another 40 years. Basically they used some clever accountomancy to make it look like USPS was running at a deficit even when it wasn't.

Did they not make it pay the Pensions in advance and then dip into the Funds? Is the Postmaster General a Trump Stooge that is deliberately making Postal Votes harder? Is the Position of Postmaster General not in the Line of Succession? If the President and Vice President are unable to serve, who does it fall to?

I should not be so angry about the State of your Country. It is doing my head in! My Sister lives there. She married an American Serviceman here in Australia and moved to America with him. Nursed him til he died and is now a Green Card holding American Landholder (She bought the Land from her own hard work, got fuck all as a Veteran's Widow. No Surprise there.) As an American Citizen, Widow of a Decorated Veteran. I still fear that she will be targeted as an Immigrant. Just to seize her land.
