Look, I don't want to downplay how evil what the IDF does is, but I think it's worth pointing out that the tent was hit with a stray bullet. They didn't deliberately execute this child in front of the class. The headline, while completely true, does tend to invoke a different scenario.

IDF soldiers in Gaza literally have contests over how many children they can shoot. They pick different body parts as targets for the contest and then keep count of how many children they can shoot in the head, chest, etc. Doctors in Gaza noted this early into the IDF's invasion, because they found so many dead children with the same injuries on the same days. They don't need an excuse about feeling threatened, they know what they're doing and they enjoy it.
