Eh, over 60% of veterans voted for Trump in 2024. The majority of enlisted voters are Republican. The majority of cops (city/state/fed) are Republican. Not sure why you think that Trump voters aren't joining the military.

I was told by a maga supporter he was voting for trump so I would get deported. This was in 2016 ish. He was white, im Mexican American, we were both serving in the military at the time.
He became a sheriff for PA. I’m sure he’s doing great things for his white American.

A war is the perfect voter suppression. Send all the men over to die, which thins out the male voter pool. Meanwhile you work on ways to suppress women. Most military already lean into more conservative lines by geography alone. Frankly, if you want to take this stupid side just remember that you get to not fight because someone else chooses to do so. To be fair, they DID vote for candidates that campaigned on "no new wars." They're fucking morons if they believed that line of bullshit, but in THEORY the platform they voted for wasn't "war in Iran." Even Fox News is only reporting 1 in 4 Americans approving of the strikes.

At my renfair last year I did see a probably high-school aged girl in a trump shirt. She stopped and listened to my music and tipped, but like I considered stopping my song and telling her where to shove that tip. I just assumed the poor girl is probably brainwashed and very likely abused so I let it go.

No one in MAGA voted to go to war, Trump ran on getting out of wars. But in fairness, lets not pretend it would have been meaningfully different under Kamela, both parties have been in the pocket of Israel for a long time now, and Israel knows they had to take this action now because they're quickly losing support in the US from younger people in both parties that will take over in a few years.

I will remind you that the current war in Gaza started in 2023 under Biden. They may change their tactics or timelines, but the results are largely the same.
It's also worth noting that the Israels military action has wide multipartisan support in their country, even the main opposition leader opposing Netanyahu stated that "We are all united on the operation" just the other day and has made similar statements for the last 2+ years regarding Israels military actions.
