76% of the world's oil flow by sea. The 21M barrels/day through the Straits of Hormuz can likely be cut off by Iran. Iran already ran a pilot of that. There are no realistic alternative paths for that oil.
It might look like the Strait of Malacca handles much of the supply, but that 23M barrels/day is mostly made up of the 21M barrels that first come through the straits of Hormuz.
