We got very, very lucky to be able to leave 8 years ago, Older siblings thought we were crazy giving up a good steady job (that evaporated anyway during COVID) and a good house. No regrets.

had an urban farmer near me plant a sequoia under power lines....once they grew up to the lines they would have to be moved off her property because the sequoias are protected.
The airport bar used to be a place where time doesn't exist and beers were reasonable.... they've taken that from us and the younger generation won't know what a place it was ...
