Old bulbs like this are still lit, often because they were rarely, of ever turned off 2/2
Most filaments in bulbs break because turning them on and off beats and cools the wire, shrinking and expanding it until it breaks 1/2
How much I'd want a nuclear or mechanical engineer show these guys around today's world and blow their minds.
You can see he made a pre-cut by the stump first. Still hella dangerous to do this, though.
