Former photographer here. Betting this was shot with off-camera lighting, which could explain the appearance of the reflections. Bright flash strobes + diffused late afternoon sun can make interesting effects. Depending on how the lights were staged, it could also make the seams look more prominent in some spots and almost invisible in others. Might also be how the images were edited in post. Lotta diff factors, but it’s a beautiful composition all the same.
