Don't worry, we have more more more than enough fuck heads of our own. The main difference is that (other than the UK) we have more parties to chose from and (again, aside from the UK AFAIK) no real first past the post systems. This means that the checks and balances work much better.

As a non-american I'm more afraid that people are lying to themselves again and there are more trump voters (still) around than we would like to believe. And even if the Democrats win, the US political and judicial systems are so thoroughly broken that I have very little hope for it to get any better - especially as it also benefits democrat politicians and they have never really fixed it in the past.

It is not a good thing, they are for sure personal tragedies. However, if you live in a country that likes to go on international adventure via bombing or casual genocide and the only way to make that stop is via the people who live in that country then yes - in a long term and geopolitical sense the people would need to be motivated to stand up to their leaders if they can not be arsed to do that before they reap what their country decides to sow -be it US, RUS, Isreal, or whomever.
Assuming that Isreal is a semi-functional democracy unlike Russia or the US, getting your voter base killed is probably bad for your re-election chances.
