If you want another off-the-wall pick, Machine Supremacy. They combine chip tunes with metal.

My first thought was, "At least it's not red." The protests are encouraging! We can't lose hope.

Hi! Yes, I understand that. I meant philosophically, when does one get so desensitized that 150 *does* seem normal? Because I don't think we should allow ourselves to see it that way, even if every day for 60 days is 150. Nothing about this is normal, and we should be resisting that urge to relegate it as such. Anyway, thank you for what you do!

At what point is 150 considered the new (batshit insane) normal?

As a USA expat in a European country at the moment, I appreciate all of the depressing updates.

Would be a shame if this was to have a similar fate to the Gävle goat most years.

Hi! I use yeast as a model organism. The flies are eating the yeast on the fruit, not the fruit itself. When I'm disposing of yeast cultures, I add a detergent (Virkon). The flies try to eat the yeast and drown since the detergent allows water to enter their spiracles. Maybe you can try that, or try a solution of water with a few drops of soap and spray on the flies.

One of them, yes. There are several viruses that can cause it, including other Coronaviruses that aren't SARS-COV-2.

What is your recommendation about the length of time before tattooing scars? I got major leg surgery six months ago, and the scar is partially in the way of what I want.

The short answer to why oxygen toxicity happens (from the POV of a biochemist) is that oxygen forms highly reactive radicals in the blood. These radicals then oxidize lipids and affect cell signaling. Reactive oxygen species also harm DNA and can oxidize iron.

RNA can come in single or double helix form. As such there are + strand RNA viruses (SARS COV 2), - strand viruses (Ebola), and double strand RNA viruses (reovirus).

Deuteranomaly is more likely to mix up reds and greens; protanopia is more likely to mix up black with reds; and tritanopia is more likely to mix up light blues and greys.

Nerve pain is no joke. Worst pain I've ever felt was nerve pain in my leg from nerve release surgery. It's exactly as you describe. Worst part is narcotics will not do a damn thing for the pain.

I'm moving to Stockholm. I know there is a lot around so was just wondering what to prioritize :) Tack!

Temporalmandibular joint. It connects your mandible (lower jaw) to your temporal bone (side and base of skull).

Definitely don't wait days! I probably should have just gone to an Urgent Care facility directly afterwards since I was having trouble getting one of the punctures to stop bleeding (another sign of infection btw). I'm glad you're okay!

If you look at the source I posted above, human bites become infected 15-25% of the time. However, humans do have a higher bite strength so I likely would have had more damage in general. Would have fucked around even less with that.

Haha! The antibiotics for that are usually azithromycin and doxycycline so I'd essentially be in the same place. Thanks for the well wishes!

I would tend to agree. More likely vitiligo, especially if the white patch has expanded over time.

Depends on how severe the alopecia, but yes. Including eyelashes, eyebrows, etc

So it's absurd to say that biology is *just* male or female from a research standpoint. 7/7
