Apex predators don't generally eat each other, but will certainly fight over resources. These cats occupy very different ecological niches, but they are both apex predators within that niche. The leopard is lighter and far more nimble, and tend to ambush from up a tree. Tigers are far heavier, and ambush on the ground. 300lbs goes up a tree a treat. 800lbs does not. Trees tend to break at that weight, and tigger knows it.
