Pretty much exactly that. We're not a country that teaches our citizens to be clever. We're a country that teaches our citizens to work in factories or cubicles, and if some of the kids end up being clever all on their own, they don't have sufficient numbers to become an issue.It's truly amazing how bad most of the people I run into seem to be with logical inference and contextualization. Or even imagining what it might be like to be another person
