Ah yes, the gang of violent sociopaths wants you to fight back, that's why they keep disappearing people and destroying lives free of consequences; that way, once you fight back they can justify their violence that they are already doing free of consequences... Violent sociopaths only speak one language, violence.

You sound like the kind of person who was incredibly bitter to learn that dragons aren't real and you can't do magic. There is an immense gulf between being entertained by a story by a rando on the internet and being lied to by people you put in charge of running your country because you lacked the capacity to actually fact check their speeches or do any background research on the politicians in question. People lie and life is not black and white

This simply isn't true. A huge number of Nazis of every group/rank/file/caste were either set free or actively recruited, especially by the USA. Read The Devil's Chessboard and the Poisoner and Chief for more information. About the Dulles Brothers and Sidney Gotlieb, both CIA, and both relied heavily on Operation Paperclip for recruits, funding, and connections.

No. No. We aren't playing the pain Olympics here. Atrocities are atrocities. Trauma is trauma. It's horrific and meaningless on every side. None of the reports from any of the groups had any scientific meaning; every life wasted was meaningless beyond the pain it brought to the collective unconscious and/or surviving family. Whether it's being vivisected slowly to see when your twin sister feels it or being vivisected slowly to "measure the threshold of pain before unconsciousness sets in."

Not just cocaine; operation Chaos, the LSD programs (Naomi, Artichoke, ULTRA, etc ) as well as all of their attacks on the civil rights movement(s)... The list goes on and on. The only boomers who survived intact were the right wingers and neo-liberals.

The only thing we have going for us at this point on that front (and this is tenuous at best) is that the internet never forgets.

That makes sense, thanks for the tips!

Because I spend more time consuming legacy media and studying subjects other than modern art/browsing the internet for entertainment? While I do care about the impact of "AI" I simply haven't found the bandwidth to dive into it enough to be able to casually spot it while doing what little entertainment browsing I do find the time for. I find I usually can spot if I'm actively looking for it, but frankly, I'm not spending that much time on a single post without a reason to

8 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes. There are a number of us who are still learning how to spot it and citing specific examples, or at least giving a count, helps us refine our ability to spot it. After all, if you're gonna go through the effort of replying, it isn't that much more effort to call out the suspect images, or at least an example or two.

You can see they animated their mouth moving in sync to the crying, and the subtitles say "crying about booboo". Jimmy lives

Don't you worry, when America falls like Nazi Germany did we'll discover we've had 'em stateside for a while too. See also the whole ICE declaring that our elected officials don't get to make impromptu visits to their detention facilities and must provide adequate notice before visiting.

It's almost like he is the Republican wet dream come to life. He's EXACTLY what his "enablers" wanted. He's the big, dumb, stupid thing the liberals can rage at while the Republicans dismantle what little we Americans had and sell it off for parts while they make off like bandits. Make no mistake, getting rid of him isn't even a solid start at repairing the damage done, with full reconciliation and punitive measures levied against his "enablers" all we've done is take the bait.

They also collected Nazi scientists for MK-ULTRA, rocketry programs, and other roles in R&D, and pardoned the war criminals from Unit 731 in exchange for their remaining records and reports from their fucked up human experiments (which yielded nothing new or useful).

That sounds like manufactured consent, I live and work in the deep south and very few trumpians are particularly pleased with yet more bullshit in the Middle East.

Empathy is a perpetual dance. Recognizing that some traumas are beyond your capacity to help with is a big part of it; sometimes it takes a genuine professional to provide REAL help, and if you aren't that and can't provide access to that, then the best you can do is listen, and if directly asked for help be honest about what can and can't do. Empathy is being honest about what you can do to help; not pretending you can help. Sometimes that doesn't come easy.

#1 this. This is art. My fellow Texans and Texas exiles. I beseech thee; share this man's plight with your friends and kin both near and far. Art such as this begs to be seen; it deserves such.

You're not wrong, but I feel that this misses part of the picture. Since housing is viewed as an investment rather than a basic right it creates a market, which means that individuals are competing with massive mega-corporations for access to it and that it can be treated as a profit center. This exposes a basic need to profit exploitations like covert monopolies and price fixing schemes; which are bad in any case, but in this case it costs lives, not just money (which under capitalism IS lives)

It was OP for sure, but it was also fairly easy to overcome; at least amongst my friends.

The arsenal in that game was the best part of the game. It's what it made it fun; looking for new entertaining ways to use them and ways to thwart them when your friends got them. Miss that fucking game and it's ludicrous weapons.

I sincerely doubt that that is meant for a single person; it looks like something that would be ordered for the table and eaten family style with each person slicing off a chunk and grabbing a side. It's for the novelty of having a hamburger cake served to the table.

It goes far beyond the cost of building. It's about access. There are a variety of things that impact housing costs, and none of those things would factor if two things were true: One - if housing weren't viewed as an investment, it wouldn't be a profit center. Two - if wages had kept up with productivity. Because housing is an investment massive mega-corporations are incentivised to snatch up land. There's more, but 500 characters isn't enough to dive into it.

Sad reality is that housing should have never ever been treated as an investment. There should have never been a such thing as a "housing market" just like there should have never been a such thing as for profit health care. On top of that real wages have been effectively stagnant for decades while company profits have skyrocketed. The reality is that productivity is higher than ever and workers wages have not kept up

And it's this mentality that has allowed bullying to persist and allowed bullies to take over (at least) the American government and police force. Physical violence should be a last resort, but creating an environment where abusive fuck sticks never face repercussions for their actions leads to *gestures broadly at the everything*. Some assholes simply need to be forced to eat gravel to learn not to be an asshole.

no problem. my background is in tech support so I can't resist trying to help lol. Take a stroll through this forum post:

https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=288587

It's a fairly short read and should help out. I don't have access to my linux box rn to test the advice, but it looks like the solutions presented should resolve the issue based on my experience though. Good luck! :)

T. Swift, as well as a shitload of other wealthy people, fly on private/chartered jets all the time for frivolous reasons. T. Swift caught heat for it because she's one of the more high profile people to do this

Arguably the first and only Chun Li cosplay that I've ever seen that is genuinely convincing

Maybe, just maybe, the people serious about doing anything aren't stupid enough to talk about it on corporate controlled and monitored social media, and stay far away from anyone who DOES talk about it on said media. By all means, share information, talk about the protests, but NEVER talk about direct action or PLAN direct action on SOCIAL FUCKING MEDIA. Wanna see something happening? Get out there yourself, and find link minded people in meat space. Otherwise, stfu about it on SOCIAL MEDIA.
